Property and amendments were great. Close enough for purpose to other areas. Enough blankets for those few cold nights. Thankyou for the stay. Would vome back.

Basic but Homely

We stayed for 2 nights over a weekend. Had everything we needed for a basic stay. Heater worked well in the loungeroom and there was plenty of bedding to stay toasty in bed. Basic but homely , we purchased a clothes airer l and left it there as that was something we needed over a wet weekend - not a must have but we like to do washing as we go daily with 3 kids! Kids appreciated the board games and puzzle. Mum and dad appreciated the dishwasher !

Freezing cold and not very welcoming or homey

I think some of the 10/10 reviews have been done by friends! The house is okay but not a 10. It is big enough for a family and in a quiet street. One heater in the lounge area is not enough for visitor comfort. It was freezing in the bedrooms. Small blower heater helped a bit. Not very homey. First place I have stayed with no books, no current tourist information, no games. Not child friendly. We had to move the glass coffee table so the 2 year old didn't hurt themselves or the table. Minimum supplies of everything: one tea towel, three dishwasher tablets, no tissues. Could be made more comfortable and visitor friendly.

Nice place at a great price

Not sure why people were saying the place was unclean etc... it was absolutely fine for us, very clean and tidy. Only gave 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. Firstly the check in process seemed to leave us with no information on how to get into the place. Secondly, just the kitchen could do with a few extra larger pots or pans, and maybe some larger bowls etc as current ones are tiny, only good for cooking for 1 person. With 4 adults needing a feed, we had to use two or more of everything to get the job done.

Overall it was dirty,windowsils,windows, curtains ,under beds real dusty,over dirty,couldnt open any windows,vaccums didnt work,our grandchildren ended up with croupe and bad asthma and hospital told us to have window open on him ,but couldnt when asked to come around it took 2 days,i have been on steriods because of the state of house ever sincewe got mixed messages from owner ,at the end we packed up and left 2 days before as i wasnf getting any better, it has put me off stayz forever as they didnt wont to help us,it kept going backto the owner,it shouldnt be a bnb,untill it is cleaned up and fixed,i wish we had more money to go when we were ofered to us,but we had to stat i ended up with nimomia and wasnt a real good stay,shy away from yhis house please

I’m sorry some of you were sick but I don’t believe it was from the house. The windows open they have window locks that you need to unwind first. The house wasn’t filthy I have some witnesses and some photos that prove otherwise We fix the issues and I gave you another vacuum cleaner even though the other one still turned on someone just sucked up a bit of plastic once pulled out it sucked again plus we even gave you another bed because you wanted one. We went completely out of our way to help Joan nothing was good enough. I told you why partner couldn’t get there with one thing straight away he was in hospital he done it when he got out. I would’ve been able to get another tradesmen for non emergency work over Christmas especially on a public holiday. I offered her a refund she declined. I sent photos of the house before her stay, I made the property cheaper for her as she wanted to have a family Christmas but couldn’t afford full price. I let her have extra guests for free, we fixed everything that was of concern I even gave her another vacuum cleaner even though the other one which was new was working someone just sucked up a bit of plastic it was blocking the tube I pulled it out it worked fine, I offered her a refund she declined, I gave her the last two nights for free, we fixed all the issue they had after the issues were fixed she rung verbo and said that she still had the same issues even though they were fixed. A thunderstorm asthma alert was issued for much of Victoria including Bendigo after stormy conditions and high grass-pollen levels sent hundreds to hospital across Victoria at the time of Joan’s stay. We had awful weather that unfortunately was completely out of our control including larger hail, flash flooding and severe thunderstorms asthma and extreme hay fever producing storms. Here is some evidence for future guests about this review I had just got a phone call from verbo saying the guest had called them saying that things that Matt had already fixed needed fixing I was confused as everything they said was fixed days ago. I said to verbo I don’t know what I can possibly do to make these guests happy we have fix everything I have offered joan a refund she said she wanted to stay because everything else is to expensive the lady at verbo suggested refunding her for the rest of her stay I done that I thought it would make the guest happy having two nights free. I sent this message to Joan through verbo platform “'ll refund you the last two nights and i'll block the dates so you can stay the last two nights for free if you choose to stay I honestly can't do anything else but fix things and offer you a refund.” Joan sent me the following text message “We're gone,out of here” I sent back “You're welcome to stay for the last couple of nights if you want” Joan replied “Ved linear in kids room clean and washed there lace curtain We have to go back down to specialist on Tuesday now from sea lake 3 floods so far” I said “ You were welcome to stay you didn't have to go back.” Joan said “We were told we had to pay in last message so Daryl and I cracked it packed car, try to clean as much as possible we're not happy” I said “Had to pay what? I sent you a refund for the last two days and said you could stay for free I don't understand what you're talking about” I rung verbo the lady at verbo said no money was charged to the guest tell the guest to call us and we can confirm it with them. So I sent the following message through verbo platform to Joan “Hi Joan I just spoke to verbo there was no extra charges only the refund for the last couple of days that I put through your welcome to call them on 1800 662 594 to confirm.” I received no further replys only this review As you can see she didn’t tell me that she leave because of illness she said she left because she thought she was being charged extra maybe she thought the refund was a charge I don’t know but she wasn’t charged anything extra. I haven’t seen a medical report so I can’t say the cause but I don’t believe our house was to blame. California Gully Grime-Mathrick Mess

Backyard/lawn was unkept and full of weeds. BBQ dirty/rusty and unusable. KITHCHEN Dishcloth, tablecloth, oven mitts dirty. Kitchen draws, shelves and floors were dirty/dusty. To cook with there was only1 small saucepan, 4 unusable frypans. 1 frypan was ok but still had egg on it from previous use. No other cooking/serving/equipment/items available. Glass doors to outside had no key to lock. Needed to use some force to engage the bottom snib to the floor so that the door wouldn't open freely. Not secure at all. Very Disappointing Stayz. Won't be relying on your website to send you a donation again!

I’m sorry you felt this way about the property why didn’t you message me or tell verbo that you felt this way? I would have helped you or given you a refund if you wanted to stay somewhere else. I couldn’t find the weeds you were talking about I think you were talking about the vegetable seedlings I thought having a vegetable patch would be a nice thing. I suppose they look like weeds especially The pumpkin as it has taken off through the other garden sorry about that I left it because I think it’s nice being able to pick your own vegetables I know the apple tree is completely loaded with apples it does drop some fruit mainly in the garden bed sometimes on the lawn. Sorry about that The bbq wasn’t unusable I opened it and thought it was clean it has a cast iron plate it can get abit of surface rust now and again if water goes on it but it was oiled when i looked at it after your stay. I didn’t clean before your stay I had a professional cleaner clean the house so I don’t know but definitely wasn’t the way you said it was when I seen it. We have had constant rain which makes the doors get abit hard to open. I got a carpenter in to take some wood off the bottom of the door. The door lock was on open from inside and locked from outside I put the key back on the key chain I had it off because it confused people I actually had someone think it was the front door key and snapped it in the lock but if not having it is a problem then it’s back. The lawn was mowed I need to trim the hedge it was sticking out abit sorry I didn’t see the fry pan with egg on it. Everything gets cleaned depending on what color table cloth you had one has a tiny stain of curry paste I can’t get out on it. There were other cooking things if you needed another saucepan you can use the bottom half of the double boiler (steamer) if you had of contacted me I could have helped.
