Falls Trail Update: As of 11/22/24 the upper portion of the Falls Trail (everything above Waters Meet) has closed for the winter due to ice and snow conditions being present. The higher elevations of the park have received more than a foot of heavy wet snow. Only visitors who have signed in with the park office and have the required minimum amount of safety equipment (crampons *not micro-spikes*, an ice axe, and rope) are permitted on the upper portion of the Falls Trail at this time. The lower portion of the trail from PA-118 to Waters Meet will remain open until ice develops there as well.
