Theee was black mold around the door facing in Bathroom. no fridge in room.

After making the reservation, I received an email saying that their was some changes I need to be aware of. The big change was there would not be a "breakfast", but it would be a grab and go. Upon check-in, there was a sign on the dining room door that said we need to see the front desk staff for the "grab and go". The next morning, we didn't have to see staff, the breakfast bar was set up. It consisted of instant oatmeal, breakfast bars and coffee. The grab and go was actually a grab it and go back to your room and eat. Very disappointed and we went out for breakfast a couple of times. Luckily there were plenty of places nearby to choose from. The pool was green and appeared dirty; the shower curtain had been cut to fit the shower; the towel hook in the shower area was not reachable from the shower; poorly laid out bathroom facilities; water pressure was very low; the smoke alarm appeared not to have power; no coffee pot, microwave or refrigerator; entrance door at the end of the hallway was not secured and slammed close when someone came through it; phone in room did not work; every time we asked for towels or to get the trash emptied, staff acted like we were bothering them. But they did take the time to apologize on several occasions and made sure to let us know they were in the process of converting over to another motel chain. After I got home from our trip, I noticed an extra nights stay had been charged to my c/c. I was able to got a refund easily.

Went into bathroom and stepped on the bath mat and turned the bath mat black because my dirty foot from walking around the room. Need to mop floors. Water came out from bottom of shower because there was a gap. Had water pooling up in front of shower door. The grab and go breakfast was horrible. Nutrigrain bars and oatmeal. If I have to make it, it’s not exactly grab and go. Grab and go are things like fruit, sandwiches, muffins, and things like that. There was no water or juice to drink. Only coffee or hot water to make tea. The staff was very friendly. The bed was comfortable. I did ask the staff if he had water and the staff did go and get a bottle of water for me.

Check in was great. Our room was OK, but the air conditioner didn’t seem to be working efficiently. It did have a governor on it so it would not go below 66, but it felt closer to 72-74 in the room. And it was very humid. Our bed was very hard and springy. The room was clean enough and it was nice and quiet.

The lobby and hallways smelled of heavy cigarette smoke. Upon entering our room both nights, the room smelled like marijuana. The property is in dire need of upkeep and maintenance. The half pillows are a joke! The lack of toiletries for the shower is unacceptable. The room was hot and stuffy, and the air conditioner could not keep up. The room was not serviced or cleaned after the first day. With the limited number and small size of towels, that can be problematic.
The staff at The front desk for check in and check out were friendly.

The evening attendant was a young gentleman and he was very sweet & helpful.

The rooms ans hotel are extremely outdated. The free breakfast does not exist. The hotel ia understaffed. The staff sis their best but there was not enough of them to manage. I would not recommend staying there.
