Vibes are amazing
What a gorgeous hotel?!? The hotel was so pretty and the service was impeccable. The food was great- breakfast (included) and we had dinner there as well. The bar, on the fourth floor, had some creative cocktails. I still can't get over the whole vibe of the property! I would definitely stay here again. Who doesn't love being greeted, upon check in, with a glass of bubbly?!

A prefect treat
A true boutique hotel in every sense of the word. Warm and inviting, professional and courteous staff. The rooms are spacious and very tastefully furnished in classic style, no trace of modern chic. The linen and bedding are luxurious, crisp and spotless. My wife was perfectly happy; I could not have asked for more.

Charming warm hotel that brings French vibes. Centrally located in Bergen near shopping, hiking, and historical sights. All of the staff were attentive and helpful. The room was very cute, and thoughtfully decorated, feels like 1940s France. A very nice experience overall. The only drawback was people at the bar across the street were loud until after 2 am.

This has to be one of our favourite hotels ever. The staff make it, they are all so welcoming, friendly and fun. The quirky decorations are brilliant and the food is absolutely superb. Plus the location is so central and convenient for exploring Bergen.

I chose Hotel Charmante because it looked groovy. We were not disappointed. The decor was very cool! We felt like we were in the 1920's Paris instead of Bergen, Norway. The food, service and location were excellent!

Unfortunately i was so sick for our entire trip to Norway... but this was the nicest possible hotel to be sick in! Staff were so kind and accomodating. Even though they dont generally do room service, when my fiance told them i was sick so we would have to miss our resesrvation, they beought food for us to the room! 10/10 experience.

Beautiful hotel with a super friendly and helpful staff. The room was comfortable with a distinctive period interior design. Great neighborhood next to the harbor. The bistro for breakfast and especially the restaurant for dinner are superb. A couple tiny suggestions: more storage space for clothes in the room would have been nice and I would have liked a way to make tea or coffee in the room, especially in the absence of room service.

A fabulous, fantastical hotel
The Charmante Skostredet Hotel is deliriously decorated in a manner suggesting a fantasy of Parisian luxury. I found it absolutely charming in every respect. Our room was beautifully furnished with a comfortable bed complete with soft sheets. The bathroom was wonderfully appointed and equipped with a soothing shower. The public spaces were delightful, and I really liked the soundtrack of French chansonniers from the 50s and 60s with some Brazilian bossa nova and American standards sprinkled in for good measure. Breakfast was delicious, and the La Cherie restaurant serves beautiful food. I can't imagine there is a better place to stay in Bergen.
