Great friends weekend
Publié le 24 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis cabin was a lovely base for reconnecting with old friends. We were able to spend so much quality time in this space. However, avoid the dog puzzle!! It’s so hard, it gave us fits!! 😆😆

Labor Day Family Get-Away
Publié le 4 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayBeautiful and comfortable log cabin provided the opportunity for our family to share the weekend together. There was five of us and we each had a bed. Complete kitchen for cooking meals, plenty of space for the little and a hot tub for nighttime relaxation. I would definitely stay at this location again. Part of the road to the cabin is compacted gravel with a few potholes. We took it slow and steady and experienced no problems. Never had to contact the owners but we communicated before the stay and they responded promptly. The place was clean, beds were comfortable, plenty of space for everyone to sit and the basement had a pool table/ping pong. Just down the street from Berkeley Springs and Cacapon State Park. Shopping and restaurants are within 15 minutes of the cabin. Thinking about visiting - Don't hesitate or you may miss the opportunity

False Listing
Publié le 31 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe pictures show a wood burning fireplace but upon arrival there is a gas fireplace. Nowhere in the amenities does it list a gas fireplace. When I questioned her on the false listing in regards to the fireplace she refused to answer my questions and instead found a way to retaliate. Owner charged me for damages that were made by someone else. I’d bet this is a standard practice for this renter to charge people for broken items. The wood that was provided for the fire pit was left over pressure treated deck material. If that is burned it can be toxic. DO NOT RENT!!!!!!

The guest did in fact break two things at the house. A bed was broken and a wooden blind was broken and pulled from the wall. We emailed each other and this was his final email to me

I'm following up on my email from Tuesday afternoon since the $250 charge was posted to my credit card as of today.
Please confirm the issue of the damage has been resolved and our rental contract is complete.

He did complain about the fireplace and I explained to him that we had it changed to gas for safety reasons. People kept starting the carpet and flooring on fire. As far as the “firewood” was concerned I had construction work done at the chalet. The contractor stacked the wood near the fire pit (outdoors). I had no idea they had done that.
I have never kept a security deposit on this property to date. Feel free to call VRBO to confirm.

Great place for family getaway

Quiet, peaceful, convenient to Berkeley Springs

The cabin is in a quiet peaceful setting yet is convenient to Berkeley Springs and nearby Cacapon State Park. It is a well-appointed cabin in the woods with a lovely hot tub and a great screened porch! We had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the ping pong table! The owner was very responsive to our questions. We didn't do a lot of cooking but the kitchen would have been fine for making full meals (we dined out at the Canary Grill and highly recommend it for service and food). We are definitely planning to return!

Wonderful property
Publié le 19 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is an amazing house for a large family or a few families! Plenty of space to spread out both indoor and out. Would definitely stay here again. 1 minor downfall - the beds are not that comfortable. Besides that the house was fully stocked and lovely!

Great house!
