Clean, spacious and a great location.

Only complaint is that many of the electric outlets did not work nor did the microwave. Was also provided the wrong password for the WiFi. The pros outweigh the cons, we have already booked this home again for next year.

Downstairs thermostat was inside a locked box, and was set on 62( making the downstairs really really cold, other than that we enjoyed ourselves

Nice house but beware AC issues on hot days
Publié le 4 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe rented this home for a girls night birthday getaway. Upon our arrival, the temperature inside the house was 82, despite the thermostat being set at 76. We adjusted the thermostat down in hopes that it would cool down the house, however, it did not. It was an extremely hot day, well into the 90s, and the temperature in the house continued to rise to around 85. Getting in touch with the rental company after hours was difficult. We weren’t able to reach anyone until around 7 PM despite checking in around 4 PM. They did send someone out to take a look at the AC unit but it wasn’t until after 9 PM. Unfortunately, they were unable to remedy the issue and we ended up having to drive three hours back home in the middle of the night. That being said, the house itself was beautiful. If the temperature was controlled adequately, we would’ve had a great time. Also, the rental company did offer an alternate rental for us to move to that night, however, it did not meet the needs of our group. We were also refunded our money for the rental by the company without hesitation.

Thanksgiving Holiday
Publié le 26 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis property is great. It’s clean, open and has lots a land around it so we could walk our dogs. The kitchen has 2 refrigerators and 2 ovens and lots of storage. The beds were comfortable. Our group was a family of 9 which included 2 kids.

Family reunion

Kitchen and living area were very roomy and beautifully surrounded with windows and natural light. The whole house was updated and very clean. We also visited the State Park that is nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Home

The home itself is so spacious and beautiful and it just felt like we’re the only ones when living there. Thank you for such a great time.

Great House and Location
Publié le 22 août 2023 sur HomeAwayThis house is beautiful! Nice and clean and within a mile to entrance of Cacapon State Park. I had read a previous review that there wasn’t a pot to cook spaghetti. I took my own and was happy I did because there were only a couple of small saucepans. There was a lid for a larger pot but no pot. There were also no bakeware at all. No 9x13 dishes, casseroles or anything to bake in the oven other than an old baking sheet. I found this very surprising considering it has an amazing kitchen with two refrigerators and two ovens! Absolutely gorgeous!Fortunately I had brought all of the pans I needed to bake lasagna and also muffins because there wasn’t a muffin pan either. We also saw about 20 hornets crawling around the top left corner of the house near the front door as well as a huge nest on the backside that we couldn’t determine if it was real or a decoy. But there were hornets flying out of it and we had one large one in the house. So those need to be addressed by the property manager. I would strongly suggest you purchase some baking dishes and a large pot for spaghetti, corn on the cob, etc. Also, a couple of bedside lamps in the bedroom on the main floor would be nice. The light switch is on the far wall and you can’t see to get in bed. Looks like the room was possibly rearranged based on the mounted lights. Even with those things missing, this property was lovely and perfect for our family! It was very clean and no pet odor whatsoever! Would definitely stay there again!
