Central and old
Good, friendly service even though some of the staff didn't speak English. The hotel has seen better days and is worn-out but it's small and central with good breakfast and everything works. Much cosier atmosphere than one of the big hotel chains - and I guess better value for the money

Nice location, good shopping possibilitirs and restaurant around. Easy to come and leave with U-bahns. Good breakfast. Good service!

This is a property with no elevator and no reception area. I informed the hotel that I would be checking in around midnight. When I finally reached the property around midnight, the front door was locked and dark. There was no message for me and there was nobody to help me open the door. Their phone number was not working and I was left to fend for myself in a foreign country in the middle of the night in icy cold condition. Luckily, I had a friend in Germany who was able to communicate to the hotel manager about my situation and after a lot of difficulty and harrowing experience, I was able to check in.

This hotel quite decent in a very low budget. There hotel staff are very helpful. They only need to replace the lock and keys specially for main entrance lock. Every thing is very fine.

Loved the simple classic room.
Huge room with amazingly high ceilings. The room was simple but we enjoyed it very much. Breakfast was good and the service was very friendly. The only negative was the lack of air conditioning.

Never again.
Bed was very low. Uncomfortable chair. No desk, very low and unnecessary big tv furniture, huge closet in a small room. Floor was very dirty. No apologies when notified. Receptionist did not seem to care about her guests. During the stay it was around 30C. Not once a cold water was offered.

Breakfast was nice and staff was nice. Bed was bad and pillow was so bad it wasn’t even a pillow. Bed was so low to the floor and hard that it made both our backs hurt.

Pension Bernstein business traveller.
I had stayed at Pension Bernstein before so knew what to expect. Very welcoming , comfortable bed and decent buffet style breakfast.(served 7.30-10.30 am) Location is ideal for the main shopping district and underground entrance is literally next to the property (although no noise) Relaxed and warm is how I would describe it and I would certainly use it again.
