Dishwasher never worked, outside grills none working . Manager stated every day they were going to have them fixed. No one ever showed. House was invested with flys

Nice place but needs repairs

Great location and very nice property but needed repairs and upgrades including pool cleaning, exercise equipment that was broken, and kitchen oven door broken.

Nice property could use some tweaking

The property is beautiful. A few minor tweaks could make it even better. We couldn't get into the house when we arrived. While they gave me the correct code, they did not tell us that once the code was entered, we had to hit the Schlage button to unlock. A few items were not functioning and the kitchen was missing some items that would have made the stay better. Microwave was missing the glass plate, the dishwasher would not close (therefore could not run it), the TV's in a few rooms were not working. TV's should have instructions as they have multiple HDMI ports and none of them were on the correct input to just turn on and go. The workout room was nice but we could not use the treadmill because there was no key to start it. The tv in the "gym" was missing the remote. The pool looked beautiful but it was too cold to utilize that weekend. There is a hot tub on site but not listed and not filed with water so kind of disappointing. Overall we would definitely stay there again, but just fix some things prior to guests staying.

Great except for the flies

The property had a great setup with a pool, hot tub and fire pit. The house was beautiful. Keep in mind 2 of the bedrooms are located in a separate building. It was a nice location about a 20-minute drive from the beach. The only negative was the amount of flies in the house. We expected flies outside but not so many inside. Once we put fly paper up things were good. Also, remember to bring our own firewood for the fire pit.

Beautiful home but needs some TLC

We first stayed at this home two years ago and loved it. In many ways we still did —private pool, plenty of bedrooms and meeting spaces, close proximity to Ocean City. However, in 2 years, there was a lot of wear and tear (mattresses sagged, dining chairs were broken). A through cleaning and overall maintenance should be done. In addition, wifi was spotty and there was a fly infestation.

Fun Family Vacation

We had 17 people- 4 generations from 8 months to 84 - stay very comfortably. The pool and hot tub were great. Bring towels. We brought floats too but 4 were provided. The home is large with plenty of room to spread out. The only negative was the WiFi. You will not be able to access the internet without a hot spot. Even streaming Spotify was spotty. Luckily we had plenty of downloaded playlists. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare 6 large dinners. The fridge was nice but the 4 door style is too small. We made it work using the multiple mini fridges and wine coolers. The ice maker couldn’t keep up so plan to buy bags of ice daily. Trash was a bit of an issue but we worked through it. The bins were already full when we arrived so we placed our garage bags next to them. A friendly neighborhood dog got into them and made a mess. Vacasa took care of it but never emptied the bins. The day we checked out they came and took the bins. We left our bagged trash in the kitchen so the dog wouldn’t get into it. Guests do not have access to the garage. It would have been convenient to store our beach chairs and golf clubs in the garage as well as the trash but the garage is off limits and locked. Loading and unloading is through the front door. It’s a bit of a walk when lugging stuff. Parking by the garage is too far for loading/unloading. Overall the place was great. We also needed the extra 2 bedrooms at their neighboring property. It was a nice walk through the horse pasture and petting the horses was a necessary stop when walking between the two properties.

Communication concerns

I am not one to write reviews but this may be the only way I can receive a response. My family and I had concerns upon arrival that were communicated via email, the most disappointing was an unusable hot tub due to cleanliness concerns (odor, sediment/sand). An email was returned (generic “thank you” and “we’ll notify the local team”) from Vacasa/Vrbo but no action resulted. We were unable to use the hot tub our entire stay. Further, the oven was borderline unusable due to not sealing/ shutting completely, as other reviewers have previously pointed out. Another huge concern also went unanswered which was communicated as safety issue with wasps congregating at the main entrance of the Equestry Inn (guest house). Given allergies in my family I made a phone call and spoke with a rep but, again, no action and no call back as requested. The property is beautiful and remote but you may be on your own should issues arise.

Beautiful house and property!

The house is beautiful, spacious and has everything that you need. I would definitely recommend this property. We stayed there for four days with a group of friends and all of our children. We had plenty of space and the children had a great time in the pool. We drove to the beach in Ocean City (about 20 minutes) and we also visited Assateague State Park (about 20 minutes) which was beautiful and a lot of fun. Some slight confusion: the website says that towels and linens are not provided but everything WAS provided. I called Vacasa prior to our stay and confirmed that we would have towels and bedding (we did not want to pack towels and blankets for 20 people). The only issue that we had was that the cottage is a little farther from the house than we expected. It was a bit of an inconvenience for the family that stayed in the cottage.

Birthday Weekend
