Located directly opposite beautiful Kirbys Beach Berrara, this spacious newly renovated ground floor apartment, is situated within metres of the Beach. This convenient location caters to every level of activity; from lazing with a good book to swimming, surfing or snorkelling at the beach opposite. There are also many other gems to explore; Berrara lagoon is a short stroll away, Swan Lake is a leisurely 15 min walk or grab your bike & explore the many bush tracks in the area.

The Apartment can comfortably accommodate 4 people, (two couples or a family of four). It has two bedrooms & two bathrooms. The two bedrooms each have queen size beds with their own individual bathrooms. One bathroom also contains a front loading washing machine. There is a brand new kitchen containing a fridge, microwave, four burner ceramic cooktop, a full size oven & a dishwasher. The comfortable lounge room links the two bedrooms & contains a flat screen TV with DVD player. The Apartment also has a reverse cycle air conditioner. Need more room for additional family &friends? There is also more accommodation at the same address. The Cottage@Kirbys Beach sleeps 5 people & can be booked on the Homeaway website as well.

The Apartment has a compact BBQ together with outdoor table setting or share the bigger burner BBQ with the Cottage in the back garden. The Apartment also has one designated car parking spot.

Doonas & pillows are supplied.

Bed sheets & towels are also included in the tariff.

Unfortunately there is no perimeter fencing (we enjoy the kangaroos passing through too much) so dogs are not permitted.

We also have a travel cot & baby high chair available if required.

Location

Berrara is a pleasant 2.5 hour drive from Sydney and a similar drive from Canberra. Whether its surfing, fishing, waterskiing, kayaking, snorkelling mountain biking, bush walking or whale & dolphin watching, this beautiful area has it all.

Not only does Berrara boast three beautiful beaches, that is, Kirby's beach, Cudmirrah beach & Berrara beach but we also have the lovely Swan Lake, ideal for waterskiing, jet skiing, SUP boarding, swimming & sailing.

Shops & Facilities

There is a Cafe/General store at Cudmirrah on Swan Lake where you can enjoy great meals & coffee or pick up basic supplies for your stay.

Sussex Inlet is the closest town and is only seven minutes away by car. Sussex Inlet is the home of the 'Ocean & Earth' factory outlet so you can grab a bargain as well. You can enjoy the RSL Club & its dining facilities or the Bowling Club Restaurant in Sussex Inlet. We are also looking forward to the opening of a new Thai Restaurant, 'the Silver Spoon' very soon. There is also a Fish & Chip shop, a Pizza Place and a few good Cafes one of which includes a gelato bar. For your serious grocery shop, Spar is located in the town.

If you want to venture further south, the beautiful townships of Milton & Ulladulla are 20-30 minutes away on the highway. If you prefer going north, Jervis Bay, renowned for scuba diving & whale watching & Nowra, with its regional services are only 30 minutes away.

Relaxing and comfortable stay
Kim's property is exactly as described and photographed. (Including the kangaroo visitors :)) The apartment is spotlessly clean, updated, comfortable and has a fully equipped kitchen to cook your own meals (including a BBQ outside as well). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with the easy walk to the beach across the road and falling asleep to the waves at night. As a host, Kim is highly responsive and made us feel very welcome. I would not hesitate to have a return stay and would recommend this rental to my friends and family.

Beautiful apartment close to beach
We had a wonderful stay at Kirby's with our young sons. The apartment is spacious and clean, with a very well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a lovely lawn area - great for playing totem tennis, kicking a soccer ball and seeing the cute kangaroos and birds that visit the property! The beach is just across the road and down a short path - it's beautiful and my sons were excited to discover the many fossils in the rocks. I enjoyed long beach walks and hearing the waves at night. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and simple, and we appreciated the lovely Easter eggs left for us upon arrival. We hope to stay at Kirby's again! Highly recommended.

The downstairs flat was perfect for my elderly parents. It was clean, comfortable, well appointed and ideally located. It didn't have a view, but the beaches were very close by. The hosts were terrific!

Great place to relax
The thing I liked best about staying here for 4 nights was hearing the sound of the waves from the apartment. The apartment itself is very clean and modern and well equipped, with a very comfortable bed. I really felt recharged after staying here and walking on the beaches. A swim in the Mermaid Pool was a delight. Kim is a great communicator and a pleasure to deal with. The information folder is very useful too.

Very comfortable, light, spacious, very clean and modern apartment. Well equipped with new equipment. A relaxing and peaceful location even during school holiday time. Less than a minute's walk to the beach and the most amazing fossil-filled rockshelves imaginable.

Great self contained apartment
Great modern and clean apartment. Everything you need for a short stay, including a coffee pod machine. Location was quiet and in a nice neighbourhood. Its directly opposite the beach which is just a 1 minute walk. There are local kangaroos that stop by each night on the front lawn, we were lucky we saw them each night. There is a small outdoor patio which was great for a drink and also a large outdoor picnic table if you want to eat outside. Seamless booking process. Kim followed up on the first day to confirm that we had checked in and everything was ok.

Beautiful unit located directly opposite the beach. Owners live upstairs and are lovely and helpful, and appreciative of people who respect their home. Unit kitchen has everything you need (including oil, baking paper, coffee machine…). Lots of “little things” made our visit great.

Perfect little holiday
We loved our stay in this perfectly situated little apartment. We stayed just 2 nights and we really didn't want to leave. The apartment was picture perfect, beautifully appointed furniture and fittings. The beds were comfy, really great block out blinds and we loved having 2 bathrooms, the shower was really good. The kitchen had everything we needed, including some lovely tea. The apartment was easy to find, our hosts were friendly, helpful and professional, the checkin was easy, and yes, it is right across the road from the beach, and it's quiet, really quiet which we loved.

We loved it
We had a relaxing 2 nights at the apartment and thanks to Kim and her warm hospitality it felt like a home away from home. Waking up to kangaroos on the lawn and the sound of the waves crashing at the beach across the road were the highlights. The nice touches in the apartment made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Kim was easy to talk to both in person and via text and we never had to worry about anything. We hope to return soon.

I have no hesitation in giving this property 5 stars. It was perfect accommodation for 2 adults with a full bedroom (no bunk beds) and bathroom for each of us and like other reviews we appreciated the cleanliness, quality appliances and china and so close to the beach.

From the moment we booked, right up until after we’d left, we were looked after marvellously. The property was clean and included everything we could possibly need - and is located literally a stones throw from the beach. Plenty of wildlife, walking, relaxation - a great stay was had by all and we hope to be back again soon!

Even better than expected !!
The apartment is beautifully refurbished-its fresh and very clean.Lovely wooden floors-spacious ,2 quality bathrooms is most unusual to find. Comfortable beds.Large lounge eating area with comfortable couches.Kitchen is very well stocked with Quality pots, pans,crockery bowls and cups.So often ones gets utensils well passed the use by date provided .! Sufficient diswash liquid and garbage bags provided which makes a big difference on arrival . There is nothing nicer than returning after a long day out to quality accomodation.Its a short walk or drive to the beaches, and the walk to Mermaids pool and the pool itself is really special at low tide.

Brilliant short break - wondeful hosts
This is the most fabulous location just across from Kirby's Beach. Comfortable lounges, really great kitchen, quality glasses and crockery & a BBQ to use in the garden. First day we swam and sunbaked. Next day got up early to see the sunrise, went for long walks and explored the rockpools. Can't wait to return.
