The owner is extremely propmt at responding, and does meet you on site with a key.

Perfect Weekend Getaway
Publié le 29 août 2024 sur HomeAwayI am from Wisconsin and my dad and I were looking for a place to stay out of state for the weekend. This place was absolutely perfect. Tucked away in a soybean field with its own personal driveway it was a the perfect spot for a relaxing quiet weekend. We were met my the owners when we arrived and they couldn’t have been nicer. The cabin was quaint and cozy and fully stocked from silverware and cookware all the way to grilling supplies and firewood. Great town as well with tons of parks nearby and great places to eat. We loved our visit and will definitely be back again

Although not so far from civilization it really feels like you're off the grid. Lovely setting in farmland, surrounded by fields and local wildlife passing by (deer, turkey and lots of birds).
The amenities of the cottage are basic - you really depend on the outdoor grill for cooking and the shower has limited hot water - but that's part of the charm. Inside it's very pretty and nicely furnished, with a lovely cosy feel.
We had a very nice stay and Linda was really good to deal with, ready to greet us when we arrived and show us the place. Definitely recommended!

Lovely rural setting
Publié le 21 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis cabin is very nice with plenty of outdoor spaces and wildlife sightings in a farm/rural setting. Too bad there was extreme heat during our visit, a circumstance beyond the control of the attentive hosts. I believe they are planning to add another AC in the future, which will help. Definitely recommend when the weather is cooler.

Susan, what you're forgetting is you told us your husband was on medication that makes him heat intolerance, after hearing that, you should have rebooked to a future date in the cooler weather because our cabin was at 64 when I went there to clean. It doesn't go any lower than that. Other than that you enjoyed your stay from what you said. So in the future maybe check the weather and make sure we're not having a heatwave 💯👍🏼

But, don't expect a nice long hot shower since the hot water lasts about 8 minutes and the owner will try to charge you for pets that you did not bring but they assume that you did.

I'm just warning future hosts do not rent to this person. They lied about bringing a dog killed the bird that had a nest in a bush on our cabin patio that our other guests have enjoyed for weeks. Every once in awhile we get somebody like this and they should be screening these people a lot better than what they are because we end up paying the price for people who don't want to follow anyone's rules on their own property! You are not welcome back here and I hope other hosts figure you out before you ruin their stuff!
