A great base for Northumbria and Scotish Borders

Excellent location, great building with character created by our hosts, and most importantly, a warm, friendly, caring welcome from Angus and Claire.

No food available on the evening, or at breakfast time. Slightly disappointing.

The owners were excellent hosts very friendly and accommodating. The property is situated in an ideal location to visit the local attractions. The room was very spacious as is the en-suite bathroom. It is furnished with antiques in keeping with the period the house was built

Lovely house and surroundings and beautifully furnished throughout.Claire and Angus were very welcoming and knowledgeable regarding the area.Delicious breakfast .

This is a lovely home and the owners do a great job at creating warmth and comfort for their guests. We had such scrumptious breakfasts, with meat from local producers and eggs cooked to perfection. Our bed was comfy and all was quiet and peaceful.

We had a lovely short stay at the Gables.
It was a brilliant base from which to explore Northumberland and the borders.
We were looked after very well by our host.

Angus was a fabulous host and the house was beautiful and in a great location.
