A 3 star hotel without a 24 hour desk. The front doors are locked during the mid-day until 2 or 3 pm, not really sure. The front door is on a narrow walkway beside the river that is used by many single men; sitting, eating, drinking. Also, that front door and walkway face the very hot afternoon sun. The hotel is totally run by one man who also runs two restaurants that open to the other side of the building (the plaza) and it seems he is a primary cook for those restaurants. The restaurant kitchens are in the basement and exhaust their kitchens to the front door walkway. Breakfast is very minimal. Room was small, clean and quiet. The location is very good, in the heart of Besancon.

Votre commentaire s’apparente à de la désinformation :-La réglementation n’impose pas une présence continue à la réception, mais un minimum de 13 heures par jour.-La porte de l’hôtel est toujours fermée, d’où la présence d’un interphone, avec une présence permanente dans le bâtiment.-Le check in se fait à partir de 14h00, et pourtant vous avez disposé de votre chambre à 13h00.-L’hôtel donne sur le quai Vauban classé au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO. Il est fréquenté par beaucoup de gens et pas seulement que par les célibataires.-Malgré mes aptitudes au travail hors normes, votre appréciation sur la gestion de l’hôtel combiné avec les 2 restaurants relève de la pure imagination.-L’hôtel Vauban propose un petit déjeuner complet à 12, quand les autres hôtels de même catégorie le proposent entre 13 et 17.Je regrette que vous n’ayez pas sut tirer profit des singularités de l’hôtel Vauban que la quasi majorité des clients apprécient.

Great central hotel & restaurant
Posted Apr. 20, 2022 on HotelsWe loved this hotel and the French restaurant attached (we didn't try the Italian one but other guests recommended it). Staff really went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We had great view of square, others had view of river.
