Leider konnten wir in der Unterkunft nicht übernachten. Wir hatten die Übernachtung für 4 apersonen über Expedia gebucht und bezahlt. Als wir in der Unterkunft snkamen wurde uns gesagt dass der Preis für vier eigentlich deutlich jöher sei (statt 1100 Rand 1800) - wir also für unsere Kinder (3 und 5) noch zusaetzlich bezahlen sollten, obwohl diese bereits in der Buchung enthalten waren.
Da wir nicht zustimmten wurde uns der Aufenthalt verweigert.
Vorsicht vor Betrug! Noch haben wir unser Geld auch nicht erstattet bekommen.
Es sei auch bereits das 4. mal gewesen, dass soetwss vorkam!

Publié le 19 févr. 2020 sur HotelsWe are amazed. What a welcome. We arrived a little early but nevertheless Helene greeted us with such joy we couldn’t believe it. We felt like arriving home. There was a black board who welcomed all guests arriving that day and each guests got something to drink and something homemade to eat. See the Pictures. The rooms are clean, and when I say clean, I mean clean clean :) She thought of everything, there is nothing in the room missing. From hair dryer, to tea, hot water, “what to do in bettys bay and around - booklet” and much much more. This is without doubt the best place you can go when driving the garden route! Don’t miss it.

The home and location are beautiful and impeccably clean. The space in our room was very tight though, and did not include a mini bar that would have been welcome given the hotel is very isolated in nature. The bathroom though very clean was very basic. We also did not get any hot water. Maybe these details should be made clear prior. Very friendly staff and responsive to email. I would recommend the place to friends looking for a rustic experience.

Thank you for booking at Stay at Friends.
We as the establishment only want to clear up some miss understanding. The guest booked an economic room of 448 Zar per night. It is a basic room with the best linen on the market and well decorated.
The advertisement is clear and honest as well as the photos supplied.
There were luxury rooms available but it was not selected. Measurements of all rooms are clearly stated. We were very flexible,
you arrived at 21h40 at night. Our set arrival time is at 18h00. You were welcomed with a free eat and drink in your room. We did send you a message to say it is going to be loadshedding. We cannot predict when loadshedding will be enforced on us. Some times with out any notice. This is not only appliciable on our accommodation but on all hotels in South Africa. All guests had LED light, a power pack and wifi to there disposal although there were no electricity. We do not state in our advertisement that we have mini bars in the rooms. If that was a need of a guest, he or she could have contacted housekeeping and they would have assist.
Our establishment have ample of hot water to shower. Your statement no hot water is incorrect. Boiling water for coffee and tea was available you only should have to contact house keeping. This is not a normal procedure, this is due to loadshedding.
We went out of our way to assist you when you have lost your jacket. Unfortunately it was not with us on departure you had it in your hand. Cctv cameras did confirm it.
We as a team work very hard to excel it is very unfair of a guest, sleeping one night, arrive late, did have the oppurtunity to have hot water, or something else to drink but did not let he or her needs known.

The staff made our stay wonderful and so welcoming. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Having stayed for only one night, we did t get to enjoy the pool or their café but we really enjoyed their hospitality. Highly recommend.
