Great condo in perfect location but...
Publié le 12 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe really loved staying at this condo. Overall it was great! But...there were just to many little (and big) things wrong with the condo. From broken toilet flushing handles, to outlets not working, to the oven not working and a washing machine that had to be babysat! The kitchen was so poorly stocked and lacked proper baking dishes that made it a challenge to cook dinner for 6 adults. Was the owner quick to respond? Yes!! But for the cost of this condo I was disappointed in its poor appointments!!

Good morning, Therese. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Casa Moonlight and wanted to both apologize for and also thank you for bringing the issues that you encountered to our attention. Sadly, things can go wrong in any building that has heavy rental use, and some of these problems do not get reported by departing guests or picked up upon in the changeover cleaning process between guests, so this sort of feedback from our guests is invaluable and really appreciated to alert us to what needs fixing.
In response to your alerts, I can advise you (and any future guests reading this) that the bathroom fan and outlets are fixed (simply a tripped breaker), the toilet flush mechanism replaced, a new ignitor ordered for the oven ( due to be installed on Tuesday) and the kitchen utensils restocked (we always have a large stock of replacements in the basement for the items that seem to get broken or go missing on a regular basis – and if asked can always procure for you during your stay).

Incredible time at Big Sky

Great location for ski-in/ski-out
Publié le 28 févr. 2023 sur HomeAwaySaddleback Ridge seemed to be the perfect location for us. We could ski from the top of Iron Horse to either mountain village or the madison area. The lift is 30 steps and a short downhill from Casa Moonlight 2 and the return is just as easy. The condo if very comfortable, clean with a spectacular view of the mountain and down the canyon. The hot tub was perfect after a long day skiing. We had a few minor technical issues (e.g., front door lock stopped working at -18), but William was very responsive and cleared the issues up quickly. I highly recommend this condo!

Very DISAPPOINTED!!!
Publié le 3 janv. 2023 sur HomeAwayUpon arrival the smoke detectors were blaring called the property manager, she said remove batteries. Never saw her. She never replaced them. Found multiple detectors in drawers and closets! Not safe. No dish soap! Pots and pans, cooking utensils not clean. Knobs sticky, cabinet doors falling off, Dishwasher barely worked and falling apart. Warm water out of refrigerator door. Spa quit working on the first day but was repaired. Could not adjust the heat in unit. Entrance bathroom door lock broken. Couldn't shut door. No hangers! Pillowcases not on pillows. Patio doors locking device was a closet rod! Not enough towels. No spa towels. Towels were very old and rough. Same as the few kitchen towels. Only four breakfast bowls, make sure you take turns eating! Coffee pot barely makes coffee. This place is in need of major repair. Things were just filthy, Grease on the kitchen ceiling, vents covered in dust. Blinds barely work. Light switches were dirty. The only positive, the unit had 2 water heaters, never had a problem during the cold snap! DON'T STAY HERE!

Hi Alisha. I am so sorry to hear that your stay at Casa Moonlight did not meet your expectations.
I do wish that you had reached out to me during so your stay so that I could have addressed these issues with you directly, or that you had let Geoie know anything other than the one smoke detector battery had expired.
Your report surprised me, in that it was quite different to those that we usually receive from our guests, so I made a point to go up to Big Sky myself today to investigate further.
The remote batteries (they do go out periodically and unexpectedly) are now replaced and fully functional. The dishwasher and fridge are almost new (replaced in the last 1 to 2 years) and seemed to be working perfectly when I went up. Ditto the Mr. Coffee coffee pot.
I did find and tightened loose screws on the hinges of one or two kitchen cabinets – and these are now functioning normally.
The bath towels (we do not supply separate spa towels) are clearly not new but were all clean and fully functional. Based on your comments I have however today ordered a complete replacement. Ditto the kitchen towels.
If cleaning does not meet your expectations (peoples expectations here do vary) - due to the sometimes short time between departing and arriving guests a deep clean is not always possible for every arrival - we are always happy to send someone round to do additional cleaning during your stay on request.
There is central heating (forced air) throughout the unit, an adjustable thermostat clearly visible on the wall of the living room that regulates the base temperature and each room can be fine-tuned by adjusting the floor vents. Additionally, there is a gas fireplace in the living room that can be turned on or off as needed.
I counted 5 breakfast bowls (3 apparently went missing with the last guests). Had you let Geoie or I know of this shortfall, we could have immediately replaced them for you (from the large stock that we keep of all such items in the basement). There are also large stocks of dish soap, dishwasher and laundry pods, shampoo, hand soap etc. in the basement if ever you run out of any of these items.
Had you asked we could have directed you how to find them and resolved all your other concerns.
