The good, the bad, and the ugly
This is a wonderful ski in/ski out property with lots of potential. The location is fantastic and it was quiet and peaceful. Sadly, we discovered that we paid a lot of money for a place that lacked proper heating, cleanliness, basic kitchen materials and ease of access into the property. We went 24 hours without heat and then had to use space heaters for the reminder of our stay. The deck was covered in snow that had numerous human pee spots in it and vomit on the railing. We were locked out our second day of vacation and the gas fireplace shown in pictures was not working and there was not a gas grill as shown in pictures either. The kitchen didn't even have oven mitts. Many of the pots and pans needed to be cleaned before use and blankets were dusty and dirty. Overseas communication was not helpful or appreciated. All of these negative items put a damper on our family vacation and I will not be using Vacasa again unless I receive proper compensation.

It was very good but heat was out the entire time a d had to use space heaters. Worked but less than ideal. The fireplace didn’t work and I was told it was t an amenity listed. Pretty weak as it was in all the pictures.

Owner neglects this property
We stay in Moonlight every winter. This was the worst of our stays. We book based on 3 criteria: The unit must be a private (non-condo) Ski-in/Ski-out, with private hot tub, and fireplace. This townhome location is NOT ski-in/ski-out. You must walk uphill to the access run next to moonlight lodge. You can't cut bw the units along the ski run. The hot tub won't heat above 75 the first 24 hours of your stay. Service said the hot tubs are drained/filled after each guest for sanitary reasons, but the hot tub info sheet in the unit won’t tell you that. You cannot heat the hot tub for the first day of your rental if someone checked out that morning. It worked fine the rest of our stay after 24 hours. We learned the fireplace has not worked for 15+ months! Jan 2022 reviews (it’s now March 2023) show renter complaints about fireplace not working. It needs replacing, but the owner hasn't. You will NOT have a working fireplace. The oven is broken. The broiler/stovetop work, but oven doesn't. We learned how to broil pizza, cookies, and biscuits. Shower curtain is stained PINK with mildew. Loft bedframe is so loose it squeaks with ANY movement. Mudroom has NO hooks for gloves, helmet, etc. NO rack for your skis on porch. Leave skis in your trunk or bring them inside for snow to melt on the floor. No measuring cup, ziplocks, foil, plastic wrap, cooking oil, cooking spray, oven mitt, lighter. You get 2 dishwasher tabs. Patio has grill but snow was over 2' high and had a 6" layer of ice!

We really enjoyed staying at this condo. It's spacious, well equipped, walkable to ski lift and has a great hot tub! We recommend to others for a casual and comfortable ski vacation.

Overall place was okay.
Overall place was okay, rental company not so much. Had some pretty good stains thoughout the unit. Hot tub cover was broken and impossible to use. The biggest problem was the fireplace had a sticky note on it that said it was broken! My biggest issue with this rental was I am tried calling emailing ect for help with these issues and still have note heard anything back.

TERRIBLE!! DO NOT RENT! NO HELP FROM VACASA!
Awful! Poor condition. Older reviews stated problems with the unit and the problems are still there months later. Vacasa the mgmt company doesn't return emails or phone calls. I tried repeatedly, NO RESPONSE. Carpet was filty and stains, fire place didn't work, hot tub sucked, old Tv's, remotes don't work, KITCHEN- no knives, pots and pans were junk, silver was crappy, no hot hand, no cookies sheet, doors coming off hinges. Blinds not working, Q mattress sloped to middle, Disgusting rug in living room like burlap and shed all over, chair legs were about to collapse. Its like the place was set up using stuff from Salvation Army. Totally ruined the experience and Vacasa Mgmt never responded to any emails or phone calls. DO NOT RENT THIS UNIT OR FROM VACASA!!

Not worth the price
Had some legitimate complaints I first shared upon arrival via text then subsequently shared via email and 2 phone calls right after leaving. Nothing that HAD to be addressed while we were trying to enjoy our days and evenings on slopes with friends and family. (3 tvs out of 4 didn’t work, fireplace didn’t work, hot tub cover so heavy required two people in hot tub to close, carpet stains, looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed upon check in, gas burners barely worked) They (Vacasa) basically said if I would’ve called while staying there all would have been fixed. Who wants or has time for multiple repair people to come in and work on these while skiing all day for 3 days?! They only refunded cleaning fee. Won’t be using Vacasa again. Location nice and great floor plan.

Good property in great location
The condo is in a great location. It is reasonably well appointed. The rugs need to be cleaned, the fireplace doesn’t work, there is limited ability to heat the downstairs rooms. The furniture is great and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is fine for cooking but the kitchenware needs an update (broken handles in front pans etc). Check in was fine, but I had to email and call Vacasa day of to get the check in information. For a ski resort condo, not having a fireplace that works is a disappointment. It’s been broken since at least January 2022 based on other reviews. I would stay there again but would temper expectations accordingly.

Hard to get in
Property was great, aside from a small mishap when checking in. The code to the key holder wasn’t provided, and resulted in a 20 minute phone call in the cold to get a hold of the rental company. We did eventually get inside though!

Pros: condo in good location, great hot tub , liked split floor layout. Cons: broken fireplace was a bummer, no step for hot tub safety issue, and as some previous reviews mentioned condo is showing it’s age. Will need new flooring and paint soon and could use additional kitchen supplies. Quite location, nice views and even had resident deer 🦌

Wonderful Summer Stay
Photos accurately depict both interior and views of surrounding mountains. The views from this unit are great even with it being on the inside of the driveway loop. We did have a couple hot nights when it was high 80’s mid day and stayed warm at night. No ceiling fans (or AC as noted) so even with windows open it was steamy especially on the top floor (king bed). The remainder of the week the normal Montana nights gave us enjoyable natural air conditioning at night! We liked that this area, moonlight basin, is past the village so it was a bit quieter and when we hiked around the unit on the ski and hike trails we really didn’t see anyone. About the unit, 1 great feature is that the primary bedroom is on the top floor, the other two bedrooms on the bottom, with the living space in between. Nice if you have older kids or just want some space! The decks are very close to neighbors. You can just about pass a drink from the hot tub to the neighbor’s hot tub! No I’m kidding, but it’s only about 10ft away! Great place, I’d totally stay again!

Beautiful location. Starting to show its age.
Beautiful location with easy access to all the Moonlight Basin area. The condo is starting to show its age with aging appliances (noisy clothes dryer), screen doors that do not fully close, older carpet and vinyl. Also, the vacuum cleaner was not working and they were short on utensils. Definitely an affordable option for Big Sky.

Great place to stay! Very convenient for ski in and ski out. This is our second year in this area and we love it. Clean, and comfortable and plenty of room to spread out. Used the gas grill and that worked great as well.

Love the property location. Easy to find and easy to get on lifts. We wish there were better amenities such as more silverware, larger bowls, improved cookware and it would of been nice if they had an air fryer. The heat situation was weird. One thermostat for the three levels was bizarre. Super hot on the third floor without fans and freezing down stairs. Toilet paper row didn’t work and we had issues with the blinds and plugs. But overall good place for groups. Great hot tub bit the group before us left empty bear cans.

A Great Getaway
Clean, comfortable with amenities like gas grill, fireplace and hot tub. Beautiful views. Everything you need for a relaxing weekend. The kitchen could use a few more items like measuring cups, a SHARP knife and scissors, but this is minor whinge and did not at all detract from the perks of the accommodation.
