Lisa fry
Publié le 29 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayStayed 2 months during house move although we brought our own duvets , air fryer and towels to use . Everything was supplied for us inc washing liquid , powered , all cleaning bits , tea and coffee etc .
Small house but fine for stays like this . Garden for the dogs which was fine . Long walk to the station and expensive free to London but that’s the area I suppose I should have researched this better really .
Pleasant time had .

Does the job
Publié le 9 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayAn average property, but what we needed. A quiet location and local facilities close by.
Host attentive and helpful when we had an issue.
House set up for four guests, but would sleep five.
Enclosed quiet garden and great for the dog.

Ideal property for short term stay
Publié le 14 janv. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis property was warm and cosy during the 6 weeks we stayed there during our house move crisis! Andy the host was superb at resolving any issues and welcomed our dogs which is rare to find. The house location is quiet and local to where we needed to be. The wifi wasn’t great but we made the most of the stay. Overall ideal for what we needed.

Good location as a base - small tweaks could make a big difference
Publié le 8 août 2022 sur HomeAwayWe stayed at the house for a month in glorious summer weather. The house did the job for us as a base from which to sleep and see family. We did make some meals, but nothing complicated.
The location is great. The cul-de-sac is nice and quiet other than on the days the recycling vans show up and the gardener cuts the grass (later in the day would have been nice as he came way too early for people that just flew in from a long-haul flight the day before).
The owners were great when we were booking and offered the flexibility we needed. On-site, Andy responded quickly when we found a kitchen utensil needed changing, but was then silent when we followed up with another issue.
The upstairs rooms are comfy but can be quite stuffy, so we needed to buy fans to keep air flowing during the hotter days. I'd recommend those by in the property to help future guests.
The back garden offers a nice amount of shade in the morning to sit and enjoy a book or breakfast. Laundry facilities were great, especially the washing line in the garden.
The front room was fine and the TV was nice. The internet was intermittent and we had to reboot the router every day, but then it was ok.
The kitchen works well. Some more cutlery would have been nice given there is no dishwasher. The kettle could do with replacing (another small detail) as it leaks when pouring anything but a trickle.
There were other small things that could have been tweaked to make this a 5 star stay, including a set of extra keys, a footstool, more attention to the kitchen sink pipes and fans for the hot rooms. The vacuum cleaner filter needs changing as it pumped out some nasty air when we used it after a couple of weeks. Small things we worked around but the reason for the 3.5 star review.
