Very disappointed, property was very tired and in need of a complete refurbishment. I had to ask for a different room straight away as the first was dark hole in the back of the hotel awful!! 2nd room was on second floor and lot brighter which helped, but decor was terrible and old. The pictures of the bar and cosy fire were correct but I was the only one there so no atmosphere, the receptionist had to serve behind the bar and unfortunately my long awaited glass of wine was cheap and nasty plonk!! Sorry won’t be back….

HEALTH & SAFETY HAZARD!!! I would advise to avoid at all costs. The room had fixtures and furnishings falling apart and off the walls. The bathroom was covered in mould and the staff are not at all helpful when requesting a refund due to not wanting to stay in a filth ridden place.

bedside lights didn't work, TV in room didn't work, no hot water available in room, bar not manned, no wifi available in room, car park used a meeting point for boy racers. A poor nights sleep resulted. Staff appeared ambivalent to the above matters.

Smelt of damp, black human hair all over bath and sink, no cold water, TV not working, no milk with tea/coffee facilities

We needed to drop someone nearby so decided to stay over Staff were overrun, not paying attention to arrivals, in the reception. Wedding party were noisey, 2am they finally stopped making a noise outside our window, glasses being smashed. It says restraunt and events, no food service at all. Room was large and usable, bathroom tiles falling under the bath. 1 tea bag. Tv stopped working at 11pm and started again at 9am (bizare) only wanted to drowned out the noise of wedding guests, There was no effort to stop the party shouting and screaming from the owners.

Room had cobwebs, insects, sheets werent clean and the whole room was dated, no air conditioning, not even a fan, Asked reception if they had another room and they said there was not one. Never again. Booking was 10th August 2024

Absolutely disgusting

Horrendous. Beds rubbish; no hot water. No cups etc. would never return. Mould allover the ceilings. Mouldy windows cobwebs everywhere. One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in and I stay in hotels every single week for work.
