Good Overnight Stay Hotel.
Posted Aug. 19, 2024 on HotelsHave stayed at this hotel a lot of times. A overnight stay with breakfast suits our budget. Rooms are clean and comfortable and facilities are good.

I stayed here before and my stay was great. This time however was horrible and I won't be returning.
Pros:
- Restaurant staff are really friendly. Specifically the Asian guy and girl during the day and black guy on nights.
- Modern room
- breakfast was okay and their tabletop and lunch options were good and tasty.
Cons -
- Requested in my notes that I would be coming earlier at midday, and requested an earlier check-in. When I arrived they didn't have a room ready and I had to wait 3 hours.
- Dirty: Too many insects in our room. Came across cockroaches, flies and spiders all over a 2 day stay.
- Room was horribly located about a 15 minute walk from the front entrance and after 2 flights of stairs.
- Our room key stopped working after 1 day and after getting it fixed, it appears this happens regularly.
- No complimentary water unlike last time, had to keep begging staff for water. I was told it's for members only but was told I was a member last time.
- Was told by the black girl at the reception I would be charged £106 even though I pre-paid already. Only told me told at check-out it's all been paid for.
- Location is somewhat remote with no nearby shops.
- Toilet is so cramped - you can't close the door without squeezing down the side of the toilet.

Unfortunately, early check in requests are subject to availability and can not be guaranteed as they are dependant on the hotels occupancy the night prior to your arrival. On this occasion all Double Bed rooms were occupied the night before your arrival, and as guests have up to 11.00 to depart, later if they are IHG One Rewards members, we would not have been able to guarantee this.With regard to the insects in your room, was a window open? Did you report this to Housekeeping or Reception in order for us to be able to freshen up the room?I appreciate the floor plan of the hotel is quite spread out, if you prefer a room closer to reception is it advisable to let the team know this, however as you had been waiting, the team will have allocated you the first available room. There are no IHG One Rewards membership details on your booking, as you have booked through an Online Travel Agent, so water would not have been offered, but is available to purchase at the bar, and the tap water is safe to drink. If you have an IHG Membership number, this can be added to your booking on arrival by letting the team know you are a member, or by booking directly through the IHG App as this will automatically share your membership number.There is a local shop within walking distance of the hotel, on the main road, as well as a garage that is quite well stocked. Alternatively, our nearest supermarket is an 8 minute drive away as well as small shopping area just 6 minutes away. The team are always happy to give directions or local transport information.I am sorry that your stay was not as satisfactory as we would have hoped and I do hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back to the hotel in the future.

2 night stay
Posted Aug. 18, 2024 on HotelsThe exhaust in the bathroom wasnt working which was pretty annoying as the bathroom was pretty small and needed an exhaust to prevent condensation everywhere. Bathroom also lacked toilet brush which would have been nice.

Wonderful staff, great value for money, great facilities and superb breakfast. Quiet despite proximity to motorways and main road.
Budget price but not budget accommodation or customer service

Great location to stadium

Great food at the restaurant and breakfast.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
Good location to the stadium amenities.
