Absolutely above and beyond. Wasn't planning on having to stay overnight in Birmingham but I missed my flight due to being stress and all that goes with bearevment. I wasn't going to post a review until later but wanted to thank everyone at Holiday Inn Express Birmingham for a bright light on a dark day. They did everything, even booked my taxi for this morning. They fed and watered me and just really, really gave me a much needed lift.

Check in staff tired to make me repay for the room staring the payment had been attempted this morning g but due to then changing providers it has failed. I stated I have pre paid to which they request my bank statement, when I was able to provide them with the ‘paid receipt’ and bank transaction they swiftly provided me with my room key and said nothing else. I genuinely believe this was an attempt to double charge me.

One night at holiday express
They were very helpfull and friendly on arrival. The room was very clean but would I’ve liked a bigger television and the breakfast was quite good but could of been more of a selection with hot breakfast and would of liked it a bit warmer because the breakfast was not very hot but it was good would stay again

Decent for the price we paid. Breakfast was great. Room on the small side and the aircon in the room needed a service as we all started coughing when it was on. The windows cannot be opened, so we ended up with stale air.

Walking distance to the nec , pub next door, bed was uncomfortable for us ( to hard ) , a/c unit in room was faulty, wouldn't turn off one minute it was hot next kicking out cold and very noisy , rang reception at 11.15pm ish was told someone would come to room to look at it, the issue with the a/c unfortunately didn't get resolved
