We stay at this hotel when we have to visit UAB hospital. We travel to Birmingham from South Alabama. This is always the cleanest and friendliest hotel. We’ve often had to extend our stay or change something. It has never been an issue and they are very accommodating.

We were in town for surgery at UAB. I mentioned this to the staff and they were very caring and remembered Upon checkout they asked how the surgery had gone. Breakfast was decent. Would have liked some eggs as opposed to the premade bagels and sausage. But for a free breakfast it was better than average. BOTH elevators worked and were quicker than surrounding hotels for sure. We will certainly stay again

This is a solid but not remarkable property in a fine but not particularly attractive part of town. Customer service from the staff was weak. There were usually two people working at the desk, but only one would help a customer while the other watched. I had no significant issues, but another guest in front of me did and was told that neither the manager nor the maintenance staff was there on the weekend, so he’d have to wait to complain about his room’s lack of hot water until Monday. There also was confusion about breakfast. This Home2Suites and Hilton Garden Inn are connected and have different breakfast deals, so the staff member was sorting people btwn the free breakfast and the pay breakfast by their room numbers and wasn’t real friendly about it. Caused confusion and some disgruntlement

Really???
I stay with Home2 Suites everytime my husband and I come to Birmingham. This time we got a room that had a hard bed totally uncomfortable the pillows were flat and not worth laying anyone's head up on. We were a little disappointed this time. I told the lady when we were leaving about our experience with the bed and her response was well next time tell us if we you that room you don't want that one....Really? I may shop around instead how about that?

Good Stay
We were not at the hotel much of the time, but it was nice. The breakfast was better than I expected. The cleaning staff were very friendly. It's in a good location. I wish check-in was sooner than 4:00 pm. I would stay here again.
