Was looking forward to staying here but was really disappointing. Our bathroom wood interior was all chipped and a mess. The AC had a high pitched sound that kept us up so we had to choose between noise or being freezing. Staff are super unhelpful, I was told the kitchen closed at 10.30pm in the restaurant so after a long travelling day was looking forward to food and then they told me it closed at 10. Asked for a recommendation from the bar manager and was told to google it. Wouldn't stay again. Not worthy of 4 stars. It's more 3 at a push.

The bathroom was in poor repair. The mattress was damaged resulting in a slope out of the bed. When we complained we just got a “oh sorry about that”.

Couldn't be more disappointed in this hotel. My husband suffered severe food poisoning after consuming the hotel's room service (chicken) and was incredibly unwell for 2 days thereafter, resulting in a lot of distress and cancelled plans. We registered a complaint with reception and was assured we'd be contacted by hotel management, yet there's been no follow up. I've chased by email and not even had the courtesy of a reply - it's now been a week since our stay. The quality of all the food we ordered was dire, the hotel room was tired and the bath was dirty with a non working shower - and we were supposedly staying in one of their superior rooms! A horrendous experience - do not stay here.

Wonderful, thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
Lovely, lovely hotel. Very wa as it snowed outside. You could put the heating up to 30°C which is amazing, felt lovely and toasty. Breakfast was a wonderful buffet, filled me up well into lunch. Sauna fantastic. Went everyday of my stay. Location, it's close to an Aldi and a large Tesco.

First impressions, large secure car park. Very welcoming and lovely reception area. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We only had a snack in the bar/restaurant, but both service and quality were excellent and reasonably priced. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable, again made even better by the staff. The chef accommodated my requests (e.g. they didn't have chilli oil, so he made me one with olive oil and chilli's - thank you for that!). The only negative was the fire alarm at 6.30 am. We mentioned this at check-out, and again the staff took this on board and dealt with it in a very positive way. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when next in the area, and we would try the restaurant and spa next time too.

What a fabulous hotel. Friendly staff, great amenities and great location. First morning we were let down by the water pressure but were offered another room to shower in until it was fixed. The hotel work force had it fixed by lunchtime. Food at the hotel was outstanding and generous, it was surprisingly affordable for the standard of food.
