Check in was quick and efficient, room was great, we have to come to UAB periodically for doctor visits, this has become our choice of stay.

Publié le 13 août 2024 sur HotelsI hate to say but this was by the worst stay we have ever had at Sonesta ES. We went down upon getting into our room and let Candy at the front desk know the condition of our room. She felt bad, yet we still have not heard anything back. She was bothered by the situation and said she would talk to the night manager behind her after she got off the phone. I went down to the lobby as soon as we got into our room to let them know and show with photos the issues. There was hair all over the bathroom walls, some sort of liquid on the ceiling in the shower, hair on the towels, bathroom door was broken and split at the bottom making it rub along the floor when even attempting to close. Chairs at little table were damaged and the room smelt and still smells like a wet mildew basement. We have stay here 2-3 times a year for the past 4 years and this is the first and most disappointing stay.
I’m praying we don’t get sick and unfortunately we have no other place to go. Again I came w/ photos to show the front desk and she was shocked as well as grossed out. I cleaned the bathroom with what I could find but after flying all day and driving 3 hours to arrive to this it not a let down. We love staying here in the past & now with pending reservations for 3 rooms in May I’m quite concerned to say the least as we also have family coming in out of state & the odor of a musty mildew basement is not ok. Going on day 3, still no word from mgmt. Typical of Motel 6 not Sonesta ES.

We are so sorry for your experience. I will share your concerns with the appropriate departments. We are now in phase 4 of our renovations. Hopefully you will give us another chance in the future.
