Stayed at hotel for a two-day conference at the NEC. 10 minute walk to venue and an array of bars, restaurants and entertainment at Resort World via short-cut along main road and through venue carpark. Close to Birmingham International station and airport. Large, clean, comfortable room. No plug sockets next to bed however. No air-con in room so would be very stuffy in hot weather although a fan is provided. Hotel next to dual carriageway but traffic noise wasn't too problematic. Breakfast was nice but very overpriced at £14 a night and there were no hash browns from what I could tell! Hotel staff all very welcoming and pleasant. Unfortunately due to lack of time I never got the chance to use the hotel's leisure facilities or try out the bar and restaurant. Would certainly stay again if ever in the area for an event.

We enjoyed our stay. Excellent staff especially in restaurant and for breakfast. Lovely food good quality and price and attentive service. Good facilities. I would recommend asking for a room away from the dual carriageway as our room was a few feet away from it! The decor is looking very tired however. The towel rail in your room was on the wall wonky and had bere wires underneath. I would stay here again it was a good base for the NEC.

Paid for a deluxe king size room and it was the same as standard room . USB points not working ,rooms need upgraded as dated , I would expect more for price of rooms . Also when we got there for two days the computer said we were not booked in till next day even though I had paid their mistake very stressful 😥

The Arden Hotel & Leisure Club was a nice hotel close to the airport. We were fairly comfortable in our hotel room. The staff was really nice and the food was pretty good. The reason for the downvote is the location. It’s really difficult to get anywhere to and from the hotel. It would be really nice if the hotel could offer a shuttle to Resort World or some other area that has some options in walking distance. I would definitely stay again, though.

Very dated room, although bathroom looked newer. Shower pressure was poor. Hairdryer in drawer not very good as wire too short to dry hair properly. Plenty of plug sockets which was good and bed was comfy.

Festival of Quilts at NEC
This was fairly convenient for the NEC event 'Festival of Quilts' - it took about 15 minutes to walk there. However, it did not seem to be on the free NEC shuttle bus route in a direct way but the reception sorted a taxi for us when it was raining heavily one morning. We ate dinner in their restaurant, which was excellent; and nice that the staff recognised us the second time!
