Considering the proximity to the airport, and the train line, it was very quiet. Breakfast was delicious.

First room given was unacceptable . The first room had a put you up when we had had it confirmed as a proper twin. Manager very helpful polite and sorted us out. The type of room we had booked.

Worse than last stay at this hotel

Posted Aug. 2, 2024 on Hotels
It’s a 3* so don’t expect lots of bells and whistles but do expect carpets to have been vacuumed and just not the shabby, threadbare dump that it is. Also they wait until you are outside the free cancellation period to tell you that there is no air-con in bedrooms. 28c outside so our room was over 30c. Also that ‘free’ parking is only until 2pm then it’s chargeable. Machine tried to charge us £15 for leaving at 14.40 instead of what they tell you is £5 for 3 extra hours then cost go up rapidly. We’ve stayed here before because its walking distance to NEC but never again.

We are very sorry you were disappointed with your stay. I can understand the few days of heat we have had in the uk does cause discomfort for some. Im afraid we dont have air conditioning and have never advertised that we have. Car parking is free while resident, you have to get your ticket validated with reception then if you leave your car longer it is chargeable at 5 every 3 hours. We are one of the only hotels on the NEC site that offer free parking for our residents and the additional charges are very competitive compared to the 10 at the NEC

Comfortable bed. Convenient location for us to visit family, excellent parking facilities. Have stayed there a number of times, however, on this occasion, disappointed with the following: staff on reception somewhat curt, (usually a lot more personable), slow flush in toilet inoperable, also toilet seat resting against push makes it awkward to operate. Sink in bathroom: water comes out in a spray which hits the sink and soaks guest and the floor. No clock in leisure club anymore so not easy to guage passage of time in order to be able to meet up with family after having used leisure facilities. Keycard inoperable on 2nd night, which meant longish walk back to reception to rectify. Apart from aforesaid, enjoyable stay.

The room was very uncomfortable no air con no shower gels or soaps the breakfast was not the greatest was lied to when I asked for cranberry juice oh we don’t do that I pointed out it’s on menu and they came back with cranberry juice another guy kept stirring at us the communal area on Friday Saturday Sunday night was loud doors being slammed and people running so hardly any sleep the leisure area was ok on Friday and Sunday and Monday morning the lady was very nice and helpful but the Saturday guy was unpleasant rude the water from shower was weak and the whole system was bad we can hear other rooms using showers and flushing toilet the place needs a massive upgrade
