Come and enjoy this unique 850 sq ft spacious apartment with a beautiful private 300 sq ft deck with gorgeous mountain views. Sporting a spacious living room with 50”flat screen TV, in living room and bedroom, reclining sofa & love seat with french doors out to private deck with plenty of seating to relax and enjoy your coffee or cocktail looking on beautiful mountain views. Enjoy a large BR with king size bed and flat screen TV, kitchen/with full size sink and garbage disposal ,table, full size fridge, microwave, toaster, keurig coffee/tea maker, large air fry toaster oven. New washer/dryer). Full size reclining sofa and comfy love seat sitting. Please note this apartment is “Non Smoking”. The bathroom has separate entrances from bedroom and kitchen area with full size shower and counter. If business arises, a nice desk/table is available. Additional amenities include You Tube TV and internet access. After a great day of hiking enjoy relaxing on deck. This total retreat into nature is conveniently located just 5 minutes from downtown Black Mountain, named one of the 'Best Small Towns' to visit in North Carolina by with quaint mountain shops, restaurants, breweries, live music, trails, miniature golf, large premier grocery store, gas station, fast food, and within 20 minutes to Asheville, Biltmore, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We enjoyed our stay! The property was spacious and clean with a good bed, comfortable furniture throughout and a lovely deck area. It is convenient to downtown Black Mountain yet up on the hillside in a nice setting. It is also within an approximately 30 min drive to Chimney Rock, Mount Mitchell, and Asheville. The owners were very responsive with a minor problem we had. The only negative, was that the wifi is sketchy, frequently less than 1 Mbps.

Great getaway!
We had a perfect weekend getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary along with checking off a bucket list item. High Top Hideaway was very nice, roomy, clean, beautiful and convenient to both downtown Black Mountain as well as our bucket list destination of Biltmore Estate (only 20 minutes away). While we didn’t get an opportunity to meet our hosts in person, everything was in place and ready for our arrival including a nice bottle of wine (which we thoroughly enjoyed in the porch swing that evening). Black Mountain is a beautiful town completely surrounded by the mountains with a thriving downtown area complete with a number of shops and restaurants. High Top Hideaway is only about 5 minutes away but is in a secluded and very quiet spot. We would highly recommend this location for a couple looking to visit this area and all it has to offer. Our 3 night total was less than one night at the Biltmore lodging and gave a lot of other options we would not have had if we had stayed there!

Mary Beth and Tim were wonderful hosts and the apartment was just lovely. It has everything you need for a few quiet days in the mountains, and they were very responsive to questions leading up to my arrival. Bed was comfortable, ample pillow options, plenty of space, not to mention beautiful outdoor deck and scenery. Just a few minutes drive into town for amenities, hiking trails, etc. Highly recommend.

We've been coming to the area for several years and staying at the same rental; however, it's recent sale had us searching for our next "home away from home". I'm happy to report that I think we found it!!! This place was absolutely perfect. Between the bedroom, living room and outside deck - there were plenty of options of where to "get away";. We love solitude and this hit the mark. We noticed all the "little things" like snacks, coffee pods, bottled water and excellent notes (i.e. how to operate the TV). To us, it's those little extras that go a long way I absolutely love this place and this will be my first choice going foward.

High Top Hideaway was AMAZING!!!!! I loved the stepping stone walkway to the deck and property, it was so inviting! Everything about this space was like being at home while being on vacation at the same time. The space was cozy and the bed was comfortable. The owners responded to my questions within a few minutes. I loved staying here and would want to stay again. The deck was so peaceful and loved sitting out there each morning and evening! Truly an amazing place to stay!

Lovely Black Mountain hillside property was just the ticket for our long weekend in WNC. Close to Asheville but even better right there in Black Mountain - lively town with good food and great live music - and on the Blue Ridge Parkway where the vistas never disappoint. Appreciate the hosts’ hospitality and for making this great spot available to travelers. Thumbs up! We recommend Hilltop Hideaway.

Lovely lower level apartment. Plenty of room, and everything we needed was provided. The only negative aspect of this property, was the stone walk down to the entrance. It was difficult to manage for two old people with luggage, etc. in our hands. Steps may have made it easier.

Neat property. Lovely setting. Very convenient to Black Mountain and the surrounding area, including greater Asheville. Slightly quirky arrangement of space, but it worked perfectly well for a senior couple. Nicely decorated and superbly equipped and furnished, down to supplies of tea bags and Koureg coffee pods, a basket of snacks, and a bottle of wine all supplied by the hosts. We had a very pleasant stay and would happily return if we come back to the area.
