Great stay, convient location
Publié le 13 août 2024 sur HomeAwayEverything was great about our stay from check in to check out. Very cozy and had everything we needed. We loved the porch swing and beautiful sunflowers. Mary Beth and Tim were available for anything we needed. Very close to downtown Black Mountain. We loved the small town feeling. Very close to blue ridge parkway, chimney rock and lake lure! We will definitely be back.

Not Suitable for Seniors
Publié le 29 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe didn’t stay as the entry path was treacherous for my wife and I. Furthermore the kitchen did not have a cooktop or oven. Fortunately we were able to secure a room in Black Mountain and didn’t have to incur another 5 hour drive home. I have written to you to request a refund but have not received a reply.

This individual did not stay at the Hideaway!! They say it is not suitable for seniors yet 90% are seniors. Good pictures and descriptions of the hideaway. Rob is correct there is no range as mentioned in the information. Although there is an outstanding infrared cooktop and large confection oven (all new) as mentioned by other reviews on how great it was. Rob fails to read descriptions and look at many photos. I suggest Rob do his homework in the future like all of our other extremely very satisfied guest have done. Please see many reviews. I would not recommend Rob as a guest for any future stays as he is looking for freebies due to his negligence. By the way Rob cannot write a review on somewhere he did not stay!!

Excellent stay
Publié le 13 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWonderful stay at this basement apartment. Great outdoor area with covered porch for eating and working. Attentive hosts - the place was well-equipped and had everything we needed. We appreciated all the details - cooktop portable range and convection oven/air-fryer made for easy meals in, plenty of towels and blankets, and lots of reading materials about surrounding area and restaurants. There's even gym equipment and a large book and dvd collections. The only thing we didn't love was the bed - it's one of those where if your partner moves, you feel it, which didn't work for us light sleepers. But there are enough glowing reviews that make me think we are just sensitive!

Lovely Place

This was our first time to the area, so having a quiet place to come back to after each busy day was just what we needed. The property owners/managers were great with communication and checking in on us.

Property owner lives above cottage. We had no issues with the owner(s), it’s worth noting if you are looking for total privacy. We would stay here again.
