Friendly and accommodating owners. The location is walking distance to some good restaurants and Mt. Irvine beach.

Good safe location.. close to beach and restaurants and airport.
Only downside was climbing stairs to upper level.. was fine for my family but elderly folks may have a hard time.

A great spot in a great location
Publié le 25 nov. 2019 sur HotelsHibiscus Heights is a great spot for a week's vacation, a very attractive villa with spacious and pleasing accommodation (though the decor and fittings could do with a bit of sprucing up). The owner/manager (Glory) is a wonderful host and very service-minded, always willing to help and assist. Although small and a little outside Black Rock, a major bonus is that Pleasant Prospect has 3 top-quality fine dining establishments within 2 minutes walk, plus 2 more and an attractive small crafts shop down on the beach road about 10 minutes walk. All in all, highly recommended, and we hope to return.soon

I stayed here for a week-long get-away in mid-June 2019 and had a a great time. We had the corner sea view apartment on the second floor. The apartment has a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea & a small private patio where we could have coffee and read in the mornings. The owner of the property, Glory, is such a delightful person and was always eager to help. Upon my request, she gave me a hair dryer to use during my stay. She also helped connect me to a car rental agency. The house is on a hill and you are just a short 10 minute walk to the beach from the property. We walked down to the beach daily. The area around the guesthouse (Pleasant Prospect, Black Rock) is pretty quiet, but there are a couple of local restaurants (Fish Pot, Legger's), bars (Moon over Water, Edge of the Reef), a coffee shop/fast food pizza, a small store, and an ATM. A bit further up the road is a fancy restaurant right on the beach called Waves. We had dinner there one night to splurge. A bit further down the road in the opposite direction is Irvine Bay Beach and there are a few more places to eat in that area. Wifi connection was good in our room and we had cable and air conditioning. You wake up to the sound of local roosters. This is a great place to stay if you're looking for some down time to chill, not wanting to be in the mix of a huge crowd, want to be able to make your own meals, and hang out on your balcony for hours reading and watching the ocean. Had such a relaxing week at this retreat!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Hibiscus Heights. The room was clean and very spacious. The view was beautiful! Checkin and communication prior was quick and easy. Location was great, and had parking on site.
Only complaint, very minor, is that the property and rooms may need some updating in the next few years.

Feel At Home in Tobago
Publié le 31 janv. 2019 sur HotelsWe loved this place. Mike and Glory are attentive but not intrusive hosts. They are friendly, informative and very responsive to questions and needs. The building is at the top of a steep driveway providing a view of the ocean. The surroundings are lush and well populated with Tobago birds including the Mot Mot. We opened large wood doors to our very private porch and enjoyed, coffee, meals and evening cocktails there. Nearby (short 1 minute walk) is a bit of a village with a couple of bars, an upscale restaurant (Fish Pot) an excellent Smoker/ BBQ (ribs amazing), fruit stand and corner store. Hibiscus Heights includes a pool for your use. The facility has 5 rental options and was fully occupied while we were there but due to the design you rarely saw other people. We had the pool to ourselves when we were not at one of the many beaches. A car rental would make your stay more free but there is plenty of public transportation. The roads are quite good in the populated area and typical of the islands in the outlying areas. The island is quite mountainous. There is plenty to see and do. Our fully equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare meals in house and take food with us on outings when we did not want to indulge in the many roadside snack shacks. We are planning on returning to Hibiscus Heights as it was a wonderful experience and ideally located. Go to Tobago! Experience unspoiled non commercial Caribbean beauty and lifestyle. Stay with Mike & Glory.

Charming and tucked away, yet close enough to the sites , activities. Conveniently located. Beautiful garden and surroundings. Pool was so child-friendly which was what I personally liked. Wonderful hospitality .
