The person at the front desk was incredibly friendly and nice. The room was spacious and clean, everything was functional. The features are a little dated and worn, but the value for the location can't be beat. When we find ourselves back in the Burg, we'll be staying here again.

Hidden gem in downtown Blacksburg
Publié le 29 sept. 2024 sur HotelsYou can't beat the location + price combination! Walkable (about a mile or so) to Lane Stadium, so you could avoid parking fees and traffic for games, graduations, and other events.
While the facility is older, the staff keep the rooms fresh, clean, and comfortable. They even had a nice size mini fridge and microwave.
The best aspect are the people. I get the impression this is a family-owned motel, and they were incredibly nice. I came in late evening Saturday for the Hokie Half Marathon on Sunday. The gentleman at the front desk greeted me, we had a fund conversation as I checked in, and he offered to help me with parking in the back.
Moreover, when I explained I was there for the race, they offered a late checkout. I was able to come back, rest for a bit, and shower without being bothered by the cleaning team.
The cleanliness, comfort, price, and small niceties make this my new go-to when I'm in Blacksburg.

We have added/ improved many things such as mini fridges/microwaves, hair dryers, new PTAC units etc. As a family owned business we care deeply about our guests. Whether they’re first time visitors or our life long regulars(I call them hokie by heart)who won’t stay elsewhere. We focus on cleanliness above all. Minimal amenities but very clean and comfortable. Front staff person was extremely friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Dear Monica, We thank you for your recent stay with us during family weekend/ VT home game.While most of the people look for new and shiny things, we offer bare minimum amenities, yet, you found your room clean and you had a comfortable stay. We are happy to hear that you found us friendly and welcoming. Good 90% guests were our regulars who been staying with us for last twenty years or more. while they’re in the Blacksburg, they always choose to stay with us even though they know that we are not perfect five star place. Many guests made bitter and harsh comments in the past but guests like yourself who knows the limits of small family owned business are our beams and columns. We do appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you in the future.

Wonderful stay at a price I can afford. No bells or whistles, but that’s ok bc I’m not in the room for extras. Just a clean and comfortable place to sleep and shower. Friendly staff. Great location for VT parents. Will be booking again.

Thank you for your recent stay with us and also providing the feedback over here for fellow guests.While we welcome harsh but honest criticism, we also have sets of house rules for each guest that they must follow during their stay such as no visitors, no noise, no smoking in the room or bathroom, limited housekeeping hours(9:00am-1:00pm). Guest denies room service and then picks up phone at 1:00 am in the morning is just not acceptable. In emergency situation we would help even non registered people in the need. We would encourage you to try bigger hotel chain such as Marriott or IHG brands to fulfill your future requirements. Wishing you very best.
