Outside the property was 4’ of trash & a very bad neighborhood - I did not stay there - my friend who lives there recommended for me not to stay there -

Despite the terrible effects of load shedding, staff were doing their best and very quite friendly and helpful. But it was my impression that like their surroundings, BON Hotel is dying, and cutting back on lighting, water, and amenities in the rooms is their attempt to survive, but it doesn't of course add anything to the stay. I felt bad for the friendly staff that do work hard to keep the whole thing afloat but Bloomfontein is in a sad state of degeneration, much like the majority of South Africa.

Not so bad hotel

Overall good hotel, not in an idea area but not much to complain about. The service could be better, and there is too much noise around the area.

Bon Hotel Bloem

The hotel is right in town next to a mall. It’s not exquisite but a good value for money.
