First trip to the mountains

Loved Blowing Rock, Boone, the Biltmore and Grandather Mountain.The communication with the rental company during and after the Hurricane was awesome. They answered every question and checked the property and were very responsive.

Great stay in a cozy, convenient cabin!
Publié le 1 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a great day for a girls trip. The cabin was decorated very cute and was very convenient to downtown blowing rock everywhere that we need to be. The cabin was also very well equipped. We didn’t use the hot tub, but it looked very warm.

Great location, well appointed

If you love a musty smell… this place is for you!!
Publié le 15 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayFirst of all, I never write a review but after staying here this past weekend, i feel like future customers should know what it’s like at this house. The upstairs shower didn’t drain properly, there were cracker crumbs in the sliding door frame, the steps leading downstairs were steep and had to worry about my little kids falling down the stairs. We did find a gate to put up but still didn’t feel safe. Also, walking downstairs to the dungeon, you get an overpower musty smell! It was horrible! It made me gag every time i walked downstairs. I tried to avoid going down stairs but my kids and i were sleeping down there. The downstairs bathroom was DIsGUSTING!! The toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned, hairs all over the floor.. I personally cleaned the toiliers and my mom swept the floors. I would not stay at this property ever again!

Thanks Holly for sharing your feedback. Your experiences are not at all in alignment with our standards nor training in "Good Housekeeping " practices. Upon reading your review a search was done to ascertain what our responses were when you reported these issues during your stay. Unfortunately we could not find any report of this during your stay or even after your departure. Had we known we would have immediately responded and rectified if at all possible. The home was inspected just prior to your arrival and no discrepancies nor cleaning issues/callbacks were noted. The stairs in the home as well as the layout of the home is pretty well documented and made known via the photos of both the interior and exterior of the home in the listing. The very nature and purpose of stairs involves a certain amount of steepness. The steps are within code and to our knowledge have not been an issue for past rentals. Given that your arrival was just a few days after Hurricane Helene and the entire area was subjected to historic levels of rain it is entirely possible and probable that the downstairs area that is below grade may have had a musty odor. Again had we known we could have easily rectified this with simply installing a dehumidifier and or fans. In our rental contract as well as our Terms and Conditions we implore all arrivals to reach out to us as soon as possible to report any thing that may be amiss to ensure that each guest has the best vacation rental experience as is possible.

House near Blowing Rock
Publié le 19 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayLong weekend. App State grad coming up for visit. Wanted to show friends the area and enjoy The B Rock. Place was great & was, if needed, a walk from downtown. Been heading to Boone are for decades and this was as good a place as I have stayed in. Perfect for 2 or maybe 3 couples.

Wonderful cottage!
Publié le 3 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe really enjoyed our stay there. The furniture was comfortable and the decor was well done! Kitchen was well appointed and the bathrooms were really nice. Our only minor complaint was that the downstairs had a bit of a musty smell. We used the outdoor spaces like fire pit area for happy hour (we didn’t use the fire pit or the hot tub) and spent time on the front porch often.

Great “Cozy” Home in Blowing Rock
Publié le 28 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy siblings and I took our elderly parents on a four day trip to Blowing Rock. This house was perfect for our needs. It was updated and my mom kept mentioning how lovely the decor was. Having the parking a main floor all level was great for our dad’s mobility. We had a deer visit each day. This is about 3 minutes from The Blowing Rock” and also the town. Love the gorgeous landscaping all around town. Hope to go back.
