Disappointing

There was stocked fire wood which we were appreciative of and the kitchen is very well stocked - could put some additional garbage bags. The only bathroom on the first floor is through the master bedroom and could have disclosed this. The master bathroom had mold around the caulking and the sink took hours to drain - it was gross. A normal size adult would struggle with the shower upstairs.
Overall we were appreciative of the location and the property but after we arrived the home owner wanted to charge my credit card for $6 fee on their TV. For the amount of money they charged us for two nights I was disappointed that they were passing along a charge that we were unaware we incurred and that they should have safe guards on their cable service. It left a bad taste for us and made the cabin overall disappointing for the price.

Hi Jamie, thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that the lay out of the home was not to your liking. We do have 3-d tours available on our website just so people can judge the layout of a home and see if it meets their needs. Your comments concerning the grout and sink draining slow have been forwarded to our Quality Control Departments, I do believe though the slow draining sink was addressed when you reported it, thank you for alerting us to that. The t.v. charge was for the addition of a streaming service that if not caught would have continued to incur a monthly charge. I am sure it was unintentional when it was ordered during your stay and more than likely an accident but it was an unauthorized charge none the less. We apologize that the request for payment was upsetting. Jamie we did enjoy hosting you and its our sincerest hope to do so again in the near future.

Great view and location!

The upstairs bedroom did not have a vent for AC, but thankfully it was cool enough for my son to be comfortable with the windows open. I’m not sure about the cleanliness when we arrived; there was certainly a musty smell, but again the windows open helped tremendously. I loved the back deck and the location of the cabin was great- close to Blowing Rock and a short drive to Boone if we wanted. With a few updates or improvements I would stay again. Also, the kitchen is not at all well equipped, so be prepared if you plan to cook most meals there. We had a great stay.

In Need of Update
Publié le 4 août 2020 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was not clean when we arrived. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher, leaves and debris on walkway, patio, deck. Patio furniture dirty, missing cushions, those there were dirty and stained. Carpet in upstairs bedroom stained. Bath mats dirty. Furniture needs updating. Hot tub not clean, could not use it. Management helpful. Owner needs to focus on this cabin!

Relaxing time in the NC Mountains
Publié le 7 oct. 2019 sur HomeAwayThe cabin is conveniently close to Blowing Rock but secluded, quiet and private. It is nicely tucked away on a narrow driveway so check with the renter if you have a bigger vehicle.
The cabin has great views from the upper and lower decks of the sunset over the mountains. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. This is the perfect place to relax and spend time exploring the mountains, trails and town of Blowing Rock.
