Beautiful view, great location

A couple of things to be mindful of: the neighbors are extremely close, even within a whispers distance, there is no dishwasher and there is no washer and dryer. The tub was filthy and could not be used. Other than that great!

Beautiful View
Publié le 18 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe view is amazing! This house was cozy but missing those extra touches you get from a listing managed by an owner. Very little attention given to the kitchen. Pans in bad shape and everything just thrown in the cabinets. We had pillow with no pillow cases. The porch furniture had not been rearranged after the last guests had moved it all over the deck. Just a little more attention to detail is needed. Great location not too far from town.

Just what we needed
Publié le 14 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis place had one of the best views of any cabin we've stayed in. We were looking for quiet and secluded and this offered both! Decor was cozy without the gaudy "cabin" overstatement that many places do. Close to Blowing Rock and the Parkway! Hot tub was incredible! We will be staying here many times in the future!

Just alright
Publié le 3 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed our weekend away very much, but thay was because we were together! The home needs some work. The tub is not usable (it took 1 hour to fill it 1/3 of rhe way up and the hot water gave out), it is not private, you are nestled very close to other homes (sitting in the hot tube we could have talked to the neighbors), and the bed needs to be replaced. The kitchen is not set up for cooking your meals. Very few supplies and a tiny stove.
We made the best of it and enjoyed our time, but for the price and above mentioned items, we would definitely not stay here again.

Our apologies, we are so disappointed that your initial experience did not meet your expectations. Regarding the hot tub, you will be happy to hear that all is well with that amenity. Most 4 seat tubs are as much a 250 to 350 gallons. It is is going to be impossible to fill that volume up using an electric water heater to try and keep up. The water heater is a 60 gallon unit and simply is not gonna recover quick enough. Its for this reason that most tubs ( this one included) have a heating unit that will heat the water once the level reaches the circulation jets. The home is nestled amongst a few other homes but there are nice planted buffers and up to this point we have not had this be an issue. Your responses concerning the bed has resulted in all the beds being inspected to ensure they are comfortable and if in need of a replacement the owner will be contacted regarding this as well as all cookware , dinner ware and flatware has been inventoried and resupplied as needed. Again thank you for making us aware and we truly hope you will revisit and take advantage of the improvements. Take care and safe travels.

Great view
Publié le 20 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayVery clean house! Two awesome bathrooms. Huge back deck, nicely covered for bad weather, or open area for sunbathing when it's nice outside. Great for grilling out. Very nice deck rockers and picnic table.The hot tub was well maintained and clean, set in an open area for stargazing. The back deck is private, and the view overlooks the valley below, with mountains out in the distance. Very quiet location at night.This location is well stocked with all your basic needs.
Don't wear white shoes when traveling here in bad weather. The parking area is well maintained, however in inclement weather is very dirty as it is gravel. We will definitely rebook in the future!
