Beautiful Home with a Wonderful View
Publié le 29 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved the views of the mountains! The home had many amenities. We brought extra items but did not wind up using them. The home was pretty clean in the most used areas, but probably needs a deep clean soon. We rewashed dishes with dust on them before we used them. The outdoor speakers do not work. Our friend had the app and did all necessary steps, but to no avail. We noticed others in the guest book had the same problem. We also had a flying insect problem (stinkbugs) in the upper 2 areas. I'm sure these are common in the woods but they don't feel good when they are landing on you. I removed about a dozen during the stay. I only noticed 1 in the lower area. The problem got worse when we ran the gas fireplace. They seemed drawn to the warmth of the room. We did love the privacy and serenity of the property. The drive up was a little steep and hard on the vehicle in a couple of areas, but some of that is to be expected with a wonderful view. Thanks so much for sharing your property with us!

We’re grateful you shared some areas of improvement as well, we want all our guests to have the best experience and take recommendations seriously. Since your visit, we've increased our pest control measures to address the seasonal influx of stinkbugs, scheduling weekly sprays to manage this. We understand how unwelcome these little visitors can be, and our recent pest service should make a difference going forward.
Regarding the outdoor speakers, we have been actively trying to troubleshoot the issue and finally have decided to use another system to ensure a better experience for future guests. Additionally, we’ve scheduled a thorough deep cleaning at the end of the month.
Lastly, we appreciate your note on the drive up. While it can be steep in parts, it's a safe, scenic drive that doesn’t require a four-wheel drive, and the view is well worth it! Thank you again for sharing your experience with us, we hope to welcome you again!

Perfect weekend !!

Perfect mountain home
Publié le 21 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe spent the weekend with our 2 sons and their wives. This home fit the 6 of us perfect. Each had their own bathroom and bedroom. The accommodations were great. Hot tub was perfect. The boys enjoyed cornhole and horseshoes. The evenings were nice around the poker table playing games.

Wonderful views
Publié le 20 août 2024 sur HomeAwayBeautiful home in the mountains. Close drive to Blue Ridge. Home was very clean, hot tub was clean and in great working condition. Kitchen was well stocked. Property well maintained the views were awesome.

2024 Family Vacation
Publié le 27 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWow, what a beautiful home and property. The views are absolutely amazing. This owner makes sure there are plenty of activities for all ages. The cabin is clean and well equipped. I would suggest either new pillows or bring your own to ensure you have what you like. The drive up to the cabin the first time is a bit scary, but after a few times you will be a pro. It is just a steep incline, but worth it for those views! Would definitely recommend, especially for a family traveling with adult kids or friends as the three bedrooms are all on separate levels with their own bathrooms. The hot tub in the early evening was simply amazing to relax and enjoy the view. We did see some deer on the property, but no bears ☹️. We also enjoyed hiking, rafting, golfing and shopping!

Location was perfect, house was well stocked with everything we needed, clean, bright, comfortable, the views were incredible!! It was hard to leave after our one week stay. Relaxing and Beautiful
Publié le 18 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe just finished a wonderful few days stay at the Mountaintop Getaway and it was wonderful.
The cabin was just as described. The view is outstanding and there are many different vantage points in which to take in the view. I spent every morning sitting on the deck drinking my coffee and it was so peaceful to lidten to the birds and sounds of nature while taking in the beautiful view.
We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children ages 7 and 11. The cabin was the perfect size for the 6 of us and the children were very entertained between games, books, dvds, puzzles, cornhole, and horseshoes.
It is very quite around the cabin and we saw a few deer including a very newborn fawn and some turkeys.
We did some very light cooking and had everything we needed appliance wise.
I appreciated how there was a guide on the two main floors telling us how to operate everything and all the lights were labeled.
We did not use the hot tub but it looks nice and clean and has its own gazebo.
Be warned if you are a light sleeper, bring a sound machine or earplugs, this is a wood cabin so there is some noise if people get up and move in the middle of the night but it's not a lot and part of the charm!
The owners have really thought of everything and were very responsive to my questions and needs.
I have no doubt that we will be back to stay again!
