Free shuttle service is fake! Don't believe it!
Publié le 19 oct. 2017 sur ExpediaIt was said in the hotel that they provide free shuttle service to the bus station to the Jakarta airport, but is Fake! On October 14, I tried to ask the shuttle service from hotel to Damri Station of Airport Bus:
1. First, front desk inform me to ask the staff at concierge
2. Then, I went to concierge desk, and the staff told me to ask front desk. So, they are not responsible at all!
3. Finally, the guy in the concierge informed me to wait about 10-15 minutes to prepare the vehicle.
4. After 15 minutes, I ask the staff in concierge, and they said, they will re-confirm to the front desk.
5. Finally, the guy that talk to front desk, ask another guy in the concierge to tell me that the vehicle is not ready and driver is still on the way from other places (It is very unclear where is it and whether true or false information).
6. They slightly mention that I need to wait for hour or more for the driver. Is it true?
So, finally, I decide to go to the Damri Station by Angkot with all my luggage, because it is very difficult to find taxi in front of the hotel.
So, please be aware that Free Shuttle Service by hotel is Fake!
I visited bogor around three to four times a year and always stay in hotel near by Botani Square, this time I choose Salak hotel because it is very close to imperial palace. But, based on very bad experience on the transport services offer by hotel, I won't stay there again! Don't stay in this hotel unless you have your own vehicle.

Old hotel, need refurnish
Publié le 25 sept. 2017 sur HotelsThe only good thing about this hotel is that it is located right across the istana bogor where you (read: your kids) can feed the deers through the palace gate. The only good thing from my stay in the hotel is that my parents' room was upgraded to a suite with no additional cost, just bcoz my dad asked to have a connecting room with me and his grandchild -- this i truly appreciate :). Too bad the check-in process took super long (due to error in system, said the receptionist) and my elderly parents were quite disappointed from waiting too long (even though they got upgraded to a suite for free :)). The suite was a spacious room. Was it a nice room? Not really. It looks really out dated, furniture looks dull and dusty, overall screams the need to be fully refurnished. Dont expect to have a great swim here, coz the pool is small and as my 7 y.o said "not so great". Another disappoint is the room service. We ordered bfast to be delivered to the room, and it took nearly an hour to come. I also had trouble getting hot showers, as it took a while to get the water hot. Plus, the bathroom smells like worn socks. I think the hotel has a lot of potential with its historical building and story, but really needs a good investment to renovate the building/interior as well as upgrading the service

The best part of the hotel is that it is right in front of the palace and its beautiful lawns. The hotel's premises are ok and so are the rooms.
