There's enough to like about the Pride, and I'd consider staying again, but it has it's flaws. We stayed in one of the cottages which has a kitchen so that's really nice. There were just a host of small things -- no kettle in the kitchen to boil water (they brought when we asked), no dish soap or sponge or towel so you could do dishes, lots of ants in the shower that made it look like the room had not been used/cleaned/inspected recently. Went to shower in the evening and there was no hot water; they had turned off the pump, so had to wait an hour or so to be able to shower and go to bed. There were little things here and there in disrepair. Nothing was a deal breaker, it just felt like it was not being maintained with a lot of care or attention to detail. For the price (key point), I would expect a higher level of professionalism/excellence.
The food is kind of so-so, and except for the buffet breakfast, takes long to prepare (order well in advance).
That being said, it's a pleasant place, secure, with a nice pool and poolside cafe. Staff are friendly.
I can't comment on the standard rooms.
Overall, nothing to really worry about here, but they have a ways to go to boost their stars, especially given the prices they charge.
