Great stay-- Awesome Unit
Publié le 28 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe unit was fantastic and the views from the 10 floor balcony were breathtaking. The complex is still under construction and repair from hurricanes but our host Xavier was very upfront and transparenet about the facilities and the rate was significantly discounted. We still had a wonderful time. All the restaurants and activities were open and the beach across the street (we walked everyday) was absolutlely stunning.

Komplette Baustelle, Falscher Onlineauftritt, Nicht buchen!
Publié le 27 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWir sind noch in Kontakt mir vrbo/ Fewo bezüglich einer Rückerstattung der Mietzahlung aufgrund eines falschen Onlineauftritts. Anscheinend wurde die deutsche Website Fewo nicht angepasst, jegliche Informationen über den Zustand des Gebäudes (Achtung GROSSBAUSTELLE; KEIN AUFZUG!!!, KEIN POOL!!! fehlten. Leider kann man hier keine Fotos hochladen, aber es sieht wirklich grauenhaft aus, es ist keine sichere Umgebung. Der Zustand des Gebäudes entsprach in keiner Weise den Angaben der Anzeige.
Die Wohnung befand sich auf einer Großbaustelle im 10. Stock, und die Aufzüge waren nicht funktionsfähig. Nach einer Wartezeit von über 60 Minuten auf der Baustelle, die von erheblichem Baulärm begleitet war, und ohne dass uns von den anwesenden Bauarbeitern konkrete Informationen zum Zustand der Aufzüge gegeben werden konnten, sahen wir uns gezwungen, das Gelände wieder zu verlassen.
Unter diesen Bedingungen ist es nicht möglich, einen erholsamen Urlaub zu verbringen, wir haben die Baustelle verlassen und uns eine neue Unterkunft gesucht.
Auf so einer Baustelle möchte wirklich niemand Urlaub machen, selbst wenn es laut Gastgeber angeblich so günstig sei. Was es aber nicht ist, wir haben preislich vergleichbare gute Hotels in der Umgebung gefunden.

Katja, full description of the complex condition is on the property details well explained. The property title also clearly indicates Pools are not available. The pictures on VRBO, ALL except the ones of the pools, tennis courts and surrounding area are previous to hurricane IAN. Pictures of the inside of the condo are fully real. As per the elevators, management advised us of maintenance on both elevators but not both at a time. As per management at 11.50 AM BOTH elevators were back in service. Just take a look at the property reviews from other travelers, prior and after hurricane IAN. Guests this year knew the condition of the condo complex, the rate is nowhere near normal rates, and can assure you there are no hotels beachfront with that rate. For your future travels on vacation rental homes, I suggest all property description is read and inquiry with the owner more details if needed. Thank you. BELOW a transcript of PROPERTY DETAILS. ´´´´ Hi, note the complex still recovering from Hurricane Ian, the surroundings still a reconstruction area and many amenities are not yet finished like pools , tennis courts, paddle courts, gardens, bbq grills. But condo has a working balcony and a incredible view. And a beautiful public beach just across the street. Any questions please inquiry´´´´

The apartment was clean and had everything we needed.
The bad was comfortable and we slept great.
The beach was within walking distance.

Scary construction site
Publié le 16 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThree entrances blocked by construction, finally located an entrance around back. Fortunately some workers still there at 4:15. Directed us to HOA office for parking, they closed at 3. Another worker told us how to get to building, through the construction area behind the buildings to get around front. All the buildings had scaffolding tunnels to get to the hallway. The hallway was dark, roughed concrete walls, with a grocery cart near the elevator. Elevator has black floors, walls and ceilings, plus a putrid odor. The room had electrical outlets missing covers, privacy shutter on window next to door busted (anyone walking by could survey the whole room), a damaged cabinet under the sink, and the washroom, dryer nd garbag disposal did not work as a result of a wiring error. We did not stay, got a motel instead. An unsecured construction area did not feel safe. I wrote the owner a message via VRBO, the only means of contact initially, which was never answered. Did receive a text asking us to do him a favor, the replacement shutter was being delivered. I texted back, described the conditions we found and requested a partial refund. Have not heard back from him.

Hi Milt, sorry to hear your experience. The rate is extremely low due to the condition of the complex, as described on the property details it is mentione of all the lack of amenities and the construction issues.All the condos are under recovery from hurricane damage, The kitchen blind has been replaced and the condos are a very secure place, packages are left ouside with no issues and no one ever has robbed the unit. There is a new garbage disposer and washer and dryer are not offered anymore on the description because those are not workiing and waiting for insurance.
As per the communication, it should be on the VRBO booking chat, you only responded once and by doing another inquiry not on the original booking. I did not received any email not from you or VRBO, we started communicating when I sent you a SMS message. If you plan to come back I can offer a good discount or 2 nights free of a 5 night booking. Thank you

Great location! The condo building is still under major construction.

I knew ahead of time that the building is mid construction from the hurricane still. I was fine with that. The host can’t change that. I was happy with the price that he offered. It was loud at the building during working hours. Once again I was forwarned of this and I agreed to it. Overall a great stay for the price that it was offered at.

Bonita Beach

The owner was willing to work with us through all the issues we ran into. I would love to come back when the renovations are complete to enjoy all the amenities we were unable to use. This is a beautiful area and our favorite beach to go to.

Weekend getaway

The owner responded quickly and was transparent about the limitations of the property post hurricane. The only things we were not aware of were that the washer and dryer did not work and the shower was not working properly.

Hi Becky, thank you for your comprehension, it has been really difficult months to all owners here. As per the non working appliances, we are facing these problems after 15 months being closed, items that worked on the first days then stopped working, and we are on that phase of discovery and repair. That is the reson why the rate was about 40 percent less than the usual rate. Hope you can come back when we are 100% . Best Regards . Xavier
