The apartment is nice, newly renovated, perfectly clean and comfortable, but not “luxury.” More like staying in a friend’s nice apartment. Service was basically fine with one hiccup. The proprietor called to check in with us for our arrival and made arrangements for us to get the key even when our train was late. When we arrived the beds were only made up for 5 persons, despite the fact that our reservation was for 9 persons. The caretaker, who was friendly, quickly brought in more linens and made up the sofa bed and extra pullout beds but I had expected it ready on arrival. The neighborhood was in a very quiet residential area with few options for the evening. There was a Spanish restaurant in walking distance that was packed and could not take us, a German restaurant that was closed for some reason, so the last option was a little Greek gyro place which was fine, but not what we had hoped for our evening meal. Location was convenient by taxi to the UN campus, and to a nice bike/walking path. To get to the apartment from the central train station, a tram/bus combination is necessary if you don’t want to take a taxi. Overall it was fine for our visit.
