Farmview Cottage has great views

Farmview Cottage is a newly remodeled three bedroom/two bathroom brick farmhouse with modern conveniences that will sleep up to six people. The location is halfway between Lenoir and Wilkesboro and is convenient to metropolitan areas of Charlotte and Winston-Salem, while enjoying close proximity to the beautiful North Carolina mountains. It is conveniently located 1/2 mile to the entrance of YMCA Camp Harrison.
Farmview Cottage enjoys beautiful pastoral views of farmland in front and back of the property. The carport may also be used as a porch for enjoying morning coffee or relaxing after a day of biking or hiking. Distinguished by the blue door and chimney, the color is called, "Anchor's Away" and is in honor of a family member serving in the US Navy. It is an ideal place to unwind and relax in a beautiful setting .

Wonderful quiet getaway
This is a wonderful place for a quiet and peaceful getaway. My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for the weekend. The host was amazing and communicated the whole time. The view from the back porch was beautiful as well.

A clean, well-equipped home away from home, a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the cities and towns, with great hikingbtrails, but near enough for a shoeprt drive to shopping. We've already booked for next year.

30th Anniversary Gettaway
What a delightful cottage/home. Nestled in the valley of Boomer near Blowing Rock, Boone, Valle Crucis, Banner Elk, etc. All the towns we've come to love over the many years we've traveled to the NC Smokie Mountains. There is nothing like sitting on the back deck enjoying all nature has to offer. If that's not enough, B and Martha live about a mile away and will be glad to show you their bees let you have a honey-tasting, and Martha might even share a hot treat fresh from her oven! Have B tell you how he trains the bees to go to different flowers to produce different honey flavors!! Ok, I might be stretching the talent of B and his bees. Truthfully, his bees produce the best-tasting honey you'll ever put in your mouth. The whole experience is worth every penny you'll save not staying in a cabin 3 feet from your destination somewhere else! It is pet friendly and no, there was zero evidence any animal had ever been there. Thank you B and Martha for a truly wonderful anniversary trip!

All-Star home for All-Star weekend
My wife and I stayed here during the NASCAR All-Star race weekend and could not have been happier. The home was very clean, well appointed, and in a beautiful setting. Martha and B are great hosts, taking time to answer questions during our stay. We were treated a bottle of honey they produce just down the road from the house. Great people! We would absolutely stay here again and hope to soon.

A cozy home in a rural setting
We rented this home for a long weekend in between house closings. It was a great stay for the my wife, daughter, and I. Along with our 2 dogs. The house is well appointed and the owners were very communicative. I fully recommend this home to anyone looking for a reasonably priced rental in a peaceful rural location.

Perfect - clean and cozy with beautiful views!!
My husband and I and our daughter enjoyed three wonderful days at Martha and B’s country cottage! They were so friendly and accommodating! They are bee keepers and the honey they left for us was so thoughtful and delicious! The cottage was very comfortable (very comfy beds!) and had everything we needed to feel right at home!! The views of the mountains and rolling hills from the front and back of the cottage were beautiful and so peaceful. Thank you B and Martha!!

A Home Away From Home
That is just what this is: A Home Away From Home. Peaceful, clean, all the amenities that you would want and even those that would be just for fun. Yes, the house is on a major highway but I stayed for three months with my five dogs and I heard the traffic perhaps three times and that was only when the dogs brought it to my attention. I would see the traffic but hearing was not an issue for me.

Centrally Located for All Mountain Activities
The property was clean and fully stocked for a family of six to sleep and enjoy the outdoors. The two full bathrooms were a must for six adults. The rooms are well appointed and the kitchen is modern with full size refrigerator and microwave oven. Will definitely recommend.

Nice home for a long stay
I stayed at this property for just under a month. The house is quite large in size, but still has a cozy feeling. I enjoyed the overall layout of three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen was small, but had pretty much everything I needed for a long-term stay. The master bed is a bit too soft, and the two single beds are firm, so there is definitely a choice where to sleep based on the comfort level you prefer. The outdoor deck offered wonderful views, but I didn't have a chance to use it too much because of the traffic noise from the highway. The house is offset from the road a bit, but since it is a 55 mph road, the noise from semi trucks was pretty distinguishable, even at night. With that said, this was the only negative that I have to note about the house. The heating and air conditioning are central and keep the house at the temperature you are comfortable with. Outstanding internet speeds allowed me to work from home without an issue. Download speeds were around 80 Mbps and upload around 50. I didn't get a chance to meet the host until the last week as they were away and my interaction with them was limited, but they did leave a gift of their honey upon check in and offered me some eggplant from their garden when I met them. The properties on either side of the house appeared to be vacant, but were well taken care of by the landscapers. The neighborhood felt safe to me. The nearest grocery store is about 15 minutes away with a greater variety of stores in Wilkesboro. There are a few walking trails in Wilkesboro that I frequented and another trail in Lenoir. Wineries are about 45 minutes to an hour away and offer a great way to spend the weekend. There was not much of a restaurant scene, but I enjoyed the town of Blowing Rock located about 45 minutes away. Overall, and above average experience. I would definitely be back.

B and Martha are excellent hosts! They have hiking trails on their property which are lovely. The view from the deck of the VRBO is beautiful! Having three bedrooms and two baths makes a long stay more enjoyable too. The only negative about the home is that it is on a busy road, so sitting on the deck is not as peaceful as we would have liked.

The house is the perfect getaway. B and Martha are so kind and definitely take pride in their property. The beds are comfy, having two bathrooms is wonderful. Wonderful stay
My family had a wonderful stay in this cottage. It locates in a convenient location and easily access to nearby natural parks or tourist attraction. The pastoral view at back yard is beautiful, I enjoyed a quiet time there with a cup of coffee with me in the morning, very nice and peaceful. Wifi signal is strong and good for supporting our needs for remote working and family/friend entertainment. The cottage is clean and with sufficient suppliers for daily life there. The Landlord Martha and B are very kind showing us around their Bee farm, and welcomed us to hike in their farm and fish in their pond. They are also very responsive and supported for our questions or needs. We would strongly recommend this cottage for family vacation or friends gathering.

This property was easy to find and had a small mountain view which was nice since this area is a hilly area. The children enjoyed the yard to play and explore. Cozy gem!
Very cozy place to spend a few days. The views are breathtaking. The home is as pictured and has all of the essentials. The welcome gift was a great surprise! Communication with the owners was great and they contacted us when we arrived to check on everything. It was a great place to spend the Thanksgiving holiday.
