Riverfront Cabin: Relax and Renew on the New River

The sounds and views of the beautiful New River with the Blue Ridge mountains as the backdrop greet you. A perfect place to sit on the large front deck, watch the river and simply relax and recharge. Your new riverfront home includes a spacious living area with the comforts of home - a large flat screen TV and internet. Vaulted ceilings with loft and gas fireplace with a fully equipped kitchen await. There are three bedrooms and loft space, with a master on the first floor and two bedrooms on the second floor so that everyone has their own space. Your new home away from home has two and a half baths and a washer/dryer. The loft is a perfect place to read, watch TV or play games. The back deck gives you a great view of the surrounding woods with a gas grill. Enjoy all the river has to offer with tubing, kayaking, and fly fishing. Todd General Store and Mercantile are just a short walk away. Visit Boone and West Jefferson which are only 20 min away for shopping, sightseeing, and many other activities. Whatever you need to relax and renew - this riverfront cabin is the place for you!

Getaway to Todd NC
Location was perfect. View of river off the front porch was great. Cabin was spacious and the fireplace and ceiling fans kept the entire cabin warm. The cleanliness of the kitchen in particular was atrocious. There were numerous insect/rodent droppings in the lower cabinets. I would not stay again without knowing the entire cabin had been deep cleaned.

Very quiet, beautiful view of the river, clean, and cozy. Our stay provided us with a much needed peaceful retreat from our hectic lives. It was exactly what we needed. Looking forward to staying there again and would definitely recommend it to all my friends.

A very lovely vacation
I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is a beautiful cabin. The location is across the street from the New River, not actually on the river itself. But it is an easy walk across the street and it is a good section for toddlers and older to get in. The location is about 25 minutes from Boone. There are three bedrooms plus a non-enclosed room with a daybed. Plenty of space. The cabin is not soundproof so you will hear everyone’s conversation (and snoring, lol). The beds are very comfortable and linens are provided. Towels are provided as well. The shower water pressure is very intense. Please be mindful of the stairs as there are two that will soon need replacing. There is a laundry room, you do need to bring detergent. There is a grill and tools for the grill which we did not use due to the state of the grilling tools. The fire pit is not as pictured, but we enjoyed a fire every night! We did find a spiderweb and a spider in the main bedroom and in a few other places so please check the bedrooms carefully. There were some other cleanliness issues we addressed with the host. The host is very very communicative and kind and truly has a wonderful property-it just needs some TLC. Bob was super helpful! Checkout was super easy. We ended up staying an extra night we enjoyed it so much.

Floydfest Stay
With virtually nothing available in Wilkesboro for Floydfest we found this very nice cabin in Todd. 45 min to Wilkesboro but an easy ride and not a dealbreaker. Cabin was very nice, quiet with a nice view of the New River right across the street. Wish I had brought my fly rod!
