SugarTop Resort - centrally located in The High Country is a guard gated community with round-the-clock security, and a 24-hour front desk staff. Resort lobby has a library for reading or games. Resort has a full Pantry in main Lobby and a Café/Pub onsite (seasonal). Indoor Pool, 2 Hot tubs, Sauna, Steam Bath, Fitness Center, Men's and Ladies Locker Rooms with personal showers. Common outside areas include lower level community sundeck, picnic tables and outdoor grills. Google search Sugartop Resort for more Resort information. Our 2BR and 2BA Condo is located Slopeside on the 1st Floor of residential units (fist in, first out!), closest to the elevator, lobby, pool and parking. Unit is a little "dated" and "used" but clean and cozy so enjoy our lower rates. We love our little escape and hope you will too. Fully furnished with linens and bedding included. Open floor plan, w/wood burning fireplace in spacious living room and wet bar. The beautiful scenery is viewable from nearly every room. Master BR has king size bed and Guest BR has a queen bed. There is also a Queen size electric blow-up mattresses if needed. Both bathrooms have showers and tubs. Private outside balcony positioned directly above pool rooftop with a direct view of ski slopes and sunsets. Laundry room w/full size washer and dryer. There are books, board games, DVDs, XBOX 360, dedicated Wi-Fi and cable TV for your enjoyment. Complimentary shuttle service to and from parking lots for all guests. During ski season no need to drive to the ski resort as Ski Sugar offers free shuttle bus service from SugarTop Resort to Sugar Mountain Ski Resort during weekends (peak season) and holidays. Sorry, no pets are permitted due to HOA policy. This is a SMOKE FREE unit. Each condo is individually owned. ***NOTE: Sugar Top Resort condos do not have air conditioning. Average summer temperatures are high 75 and low 55 degrees. During snow and ice it is required to have 4 wheel drive/AWD vehicle or snow tires and chains for access to the Resort.*** Please contact the front desk for current conditions at 828-898-5226. Activities include skiing, snow tubing, Wilderness Alpine Mountain Coaster, golfing, biking, swimming, hiking, fishing, wildlife watching, zip-lining, gem mining, rafting or just relaxing in the mountains. Nearby sites include Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, Lineville Falls/Caverns, Boone, Blowing Rock, Lees-McRae College and Appalachian State University, Tweetsie Railroad, Overlook Barn, Beech Mountain and the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway. You will LOVE this Hidden Gem in Sugar Mountain
You will LOVE this Hidden Gem! We spent 6 nights here and absolutely had the best time. Location is perfect, close to many things! The unit itself is great! Everything you need and priced so you won’t break the bank. We spent our days our exploring the beautiful outdoors. And spent our evenings back at the condo relaxing and enjoying a quiet night. If you are looking to take a mountain getaway to NC, do yourself a favor and book this unit!

Amazing Stay
Our host was one of the nicest people I could ever make reservations with. The condo is completely beautiful with a beautiful veiw especially in the winter. Everything that you would need for your stay is there. You dont need take anything extra. Kitchen items, towels, whatever you can name they had it. Also his response time to anything i needed was superb. If we ever return I would defineately use them again.

Perfect experience
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The check in process was simple, the only downside being that we arrived late on a Friday along with a handful of other guests, and so there was a good wait before they could allow us to drive up to the condo to unload. This is because there is a very small parking area at the top. But the rest of the weekend went very smoothly and on Sunday night they even let us remain parked at the top so checking out Monday morning was a breeze (because most people left on Sunday). The lobby was extremely inviting with a big fireplace and fall decorations and it smelled wonderful. The staff were friendly. The pool was awesome (and Mike kept us closely informed of work being done on the pool but luckily they reopened it quickly). The pool was wonderful. My kids enjoyed using it while we enjoyed the hot tub. The condo was the perfect size for my family of 5. My 4 and 7 yo shared the queen bed, and the pack n play for the baby fit easily in the master bedroom. Instructions provided warned us that the water heater was good for about two showers so we planned accordingly and never had a problem with the water getting cold. We ended up visiting Linville (caves and falls), Tweetsie Railroad, and hiking Rough Ridge Lookout on the blue ridge parkway. Every activity was perfect for my young kids. We had an amazing weekend!

Fantastic!
We are so pleased with our stay! The stay exceeded our expectations in many ways. Michael was a breeze to book with. Top notch communication and accuracy in the listing. The condo itself throughly cleaned, cozy, and fully equipped with any extras we needed! We can't say enough how clean the condo and facility as a whole are! The resorts pool/hot tub area is very nice and well maintained. All amenities were available for use. The on site pantry (located in the lobby) is a nice addition. Each encounter we had with resort staff was pleasant. All staff were welcoming and seemer to enjoy working for the resort. Parking in the lower (guest parking, lot c) lots was not an issue as the shuttle was propmt. Security to the lots was also not an issue as they are guarded. We were hesitant to book here (as this was out first time) but are VERY happy we took the chance. We are now planning to return! 100% hassle and issue free trip!

Mike was extremely informative and very nice! We’ve stayed at this resort multiple times, but Mike is by fast the best host! Unit is very clean, easy to get to, and has a great view of the mountains. We will definitely be booking with him again!!

GREAT communications with Host...Michael was very friendly & attentive! Weather was nice and comfortably COOL! Balcony views of ski-slope and sunsets were awesome! Furniture and beds were all very comfy. Kitchen was nicely appointed. First floor (above Lobby) and only 2 doors down from Main elevator so EASY "move-in & move-out". LOVE Sugartop!! Nice unit, includes W&D!

My family and I stayed at this property for the first time and overall had a wonderful experience. Upon arrival, parking and checkin was easy. The first day and night we didn’t have balcony access as they were doing outside work on the building. We were able to have access after the first day, so it wasn’t a huge deal. The condo itself is certainly dated but I found the 1980 vibes matching with the year the condo was built - a neat feature personally. One thing to note: there is no air conditioning. We visited during the hottest part of summer and were nervous when we learned about the AC. However, after opening the balcony door and setting a fan in front, it doesn’t take long to cool down the place midday. There’s a nice indoor pool on the property, it is not heated during the summer. All of the property staff are super nice, from the front desk to the shuttle drivers, and all we’re very helpful in giving us suggestions and ideas for our trip. Overall we had a great time and will definitely be visiting again!

Five of us were able to stay comfortably in the condo. We were in driving distance of all our locations, Little Switzerland, West Jefferson and Banner Elk. Michael was wonderful about responding to emails. I can't wait to go back.

Everything was considered in this property. Hand soap, dish soap, luggage stands, fans, games, the amenity list goes on. The down side was the construction going on outside. Lots and lots of dust, but that was out of anyone’s control.
