Gorgeous property! Super comfortable beds and soft linens. We had a shared bathroom but never saw the other guests so it felt private. Highly recommend!

Stay for the great location
Publié le 8 juill. 2024 sur HotelsThis is a historic bed and breakfast in a great location. Room was fine and because its a historic hotel we had to share a bathroom, however this never posed a problem. The breakfast part was less than average. What is missing is the charm of staying in a historic B&B which typically means special touches and a warm host.

This was a very unique experience and we're so glad we got to stay here. I booked early to secure the great room. Very spacious room and bathroom. The property is very old but that's what was intriguing to us. Everything in Salem is walkable from here. Would highly recommend!

Perfect location for walking to everything. The house itself is so interesting and full of history. We stayed in the East India room and our beds were so comfortable and cozy. Beautifully decorated, quiet and relaxing. We loved that there were snacks and drinks available pretty much all day and evening as most places do not seem to open very early in Salem (and we are early risers). Would not hesitate to stay here again.

VERY EXPENSIVE, POOR CANCELATION POLICY, POOR PARKING POLICY, VERY LIMITED BREAKFAST.

We are sorry you did not approve with our cancellation policy and are aware that you did inquire about cancelling. Like most inns, we have a non-refundable deposit in the amount of the first night's stay, which stands as a cancellation fee. We feel this is fair, especially for a last-minute cancellation. We also feel our rates are comparable with other local Inns and hotels and we do offer a unique experience as the oldest inn in Salem. In regards to parking, we offer driveway parking for all rooms except one, which is street parking. Continental breakfast is available daily and consists of a wide selection of breads, cereals, oatmeal, fresh fruit, fruit cups, yogurt, cream cheese, juice, tea and coffee etc. We are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. We always suggest that it is a good idea to read up on the details of a policy and the amenities offered before making a booking. All the best

We really like staying at unique or historical properties. The Daniels house was both. The Hostess at breakfast was very friendly and helpful with our questions about parking for my brother who was coming to meet us. Would stay here again. The only con would be thevceiling height in the 3rd floor rooms.

More communication with the staff would have been better as well as making sure each occupant is doing what is ask. I understand sharing a bathroom in a colonial house is a hard thing but if you are making people follow rules then you should not book two families in that floor.

I had spoke with you several times over your stay and nothing was mentioned to me that there was an issue about sharing a bathroom or any other issue. I would suggest to anyone who is not comfortable with sharing a bathroom to not book a room with a shared bathroom. We have 6 guest rooms and only two of them share a bathroom. Staying in a Colonial home is an authenticate experience and if anyone does not want that experience we highly recommend staying in a hotel. If there was any issue with other guests then we wish you had reported this to us right away so that we could rectify the situation. Most people are pretty reasonable and if they were doing something they should not have been doing, sometimes it just takes a conversation. We are transparent with our house rules, They are listed on our website, confirmation emails, In our guest portal and posted around the home. In addition, we always ask guests how things are going and if they have any issues or questions during their stay. We are sorry you did not communicate there was an issue over a 4 day stay in our home. All the best.
