I loved everything about this hostel! We booked a private room and since it’s a hostel, we weren’t expecting much. To our surprise, the room was big and had everything we needed. Staff are always helpful and accommodating. Location is in the middle of chinatown so a lot of the tourist spots were within walking distance. 10/10 would recommend
Welp after speaking to GM today and voicing my frustrations after maybe letting my emotions get the best of me, I was gladly welcomed back and charged 20 bucks over the going rate for the same room I had to change my own sheets on. I should have literally stayed for free. Can you imagine if you will, making a guest from Iceland or Asia changing their own sheets? Then? Over charging them 20 bucks to make em feel right? Ya know. I've changed my mind.garbage place. Had 2 days to make it right and they continue to crap on me. It's all good.
My room had no heat. I brought it to the attention of the attendant at the desk and they basically told me too bad. I never comment or leave poor reviews, but my overall experience from the facility, my room and the staff was that bad.
I enjoyed my stay at HI-Boston. I like that the shared bathrooms are in the hallway (unlike many hostels, which are in the room) and there are many individual ones available on my floor. The beds are comfy. Big kitchen area with lots of seating. Continental breakfast was ok. The hostel hosted a trivia night on Monday and they offered 2 drinks and snacks for everyone and it was great to hang out with fellow travellers for some fun times. Highly recommended this hostel. I would definitely stay with HI-Boston again!
This is a nice hostel located in Boston. i cannot complain at all about the hostel they done the best and made everyone feel accomodated. I believe the night i was there was a movie night and they invited everyone for it which was nice.
My only complaint would be about roommates but that's not the hostels fault it was just luck of the draw. People did not respect the quiet hours and at 5am turned on all lights in the room and left them on and started speaking really loudly and eating food in the room at 6:30 am. On the coat racks some roommates hung dirty underwear ( not swimwear ) which limited me from hanging my stuff and was also gross. Like I said this was not the hostels fault and in future I would go for a mixed room if possible
This is by far my favorite hostel thus far. It’s clean & modern. There’s a pool table, games, a massive kitchen & they even have a daily activity board! The staff was friendly & the bed were comfy I’ll def stay here again
Overall it was a pretty good experience. I would likely stay here again. However, in tge future, I would hope there would be more of a variety and more protein in the breakfast options.
This was my first hostel experience in Boston. Very nice facilities. Breakfast was not good. The room was adequate and bed was very comfortable.

If you are coming to Boston, this is a must stop. If you're American, I give it about a week. If you're from Asia or anywhere in Europe, while spending the same money as me, you're a superstar. Dint try and be friendly bc the staff is 2 faced. If you wanna cook, don't out your food in kitchen bc it will be stolen and the staff doesn't care. I confided in such after watching it happen And they didn't even get out of their chair. Left 20 worth of cold medicine on my bunk shelf and 39 mins after checkout I was told it had been cleaned and they didn't know. Really? The 3 ladies doing rooms can't be found? It's like stealing. Very pretentious and underwhelming. Bring your own cooler and it's not a "continental" bfast. It's toast and maybe a boiled egg. The night shift is prob you're best best but like I said, don't complain in English bc you'll end up like me. Luckily I'll be be back to see Carli and Victor and the whole gang first of the year. Speaking of which. Spend the 18 bucks on the membership bc you will get your money back in 2 stays. After that it's all profit. 20 percent. If you like immaturity, low class and and tolerance for that behavior, this is the place for you. If you are traveling in the upper 48, don't bother. You won't be welcome. They actually have this dumpy lady who "works for them" and all she does is hustle and steal everyday from the residents. She won't change clothes or tell the truth. They adore her. She will steal from you in a heartbeat. Not good
