The Dagny is lovely in everybway. The property is very nice and our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a great coffee/breakfast spot in the hotel.

Despite the fact that the staff were friendly and polite; and housekeeping staff kept the premises clean, I gave this hotel an overall rating of Terrible because of the following issues: 1- the BEDS were NOT "pillow-top" as described on Expedia's website. Instead, they were very soft, mushy and lumpy-low to the ground (whereas a pillowtop is usually a firm mattress with an additional segment "pillowy" on top. I booked a "Deluxe" room- and these beds were NOT comfortable at all! 2-We needed to have engineer service room on 2 occasions- when we first arrived, the electronic window shades were not working. Engineer needed to recharge the battery and it took several hours before it was fixed. We needed to stay in our room and wait for green battery light to go on- then call engineer to return to room and finish the repair. Second issue: the bathroom door lock was defective. It locked us OUT of the bathroom- due to an issue with the "button" on the knob. Engineer had to come at 8:30 PM- night before we checked out. And 3- the breakfast available" was NOT as hoped. The ONLY breakfast room was a coffee shop - open at 7 AM-that had grab and go options- which did NOT include basic breakfast cereals. Only some breakfast sandwiches and pastries, juice and coffees. I would expect a four-star hotel to do better for breakfast "service" than this.(Room service did NOT even offer delivery 8 AM!) Also, no shop for toiletries, newspapers, etc. and no business center.

Over priced.
A very expensive hotel for what you get. The valet parking is extortionate at $62 per day but the staff are friendly and helpful. We've paid a lot less elsewhere & had breakfast included, so it felt very expensive considering breakfast wasn't included. You do however get a $10 daily credit to the coffee shop on site per room. It doesn't buy much but it at least gets you something. Our room was very well sized & had a comfy bed. The bathroom was very small/cramped - you'd struggle if you had any kind of mobility issues. Our room was very noisy. It felt like the windows were open with how loud the street noise was. There were delivery/garbage trucks or something intermittently all night long and from the very early hours it was just loud/constantly noisy so there was no chance of a good night's sleep/a lie-in. The hotel looks good & is historic and the location is fairly good for most attractions.
