Quiet lake view cabin
Publié le 11 août 2024 sur HomeAwayBeautiful log cabin with a Great Lake front view! Closely located to Creston & Nelson and Crawford Bay. Great host and easy check in process. Well equipped and we just brought our food, drinking water and portable grill as there was province wide fire bans.

Communication is everything ! Due to our location in cottage country, it makes everything easier for our guests ( and us) when our guests come prepared. E.g. the need to bring groceries and bottled water, especially when arriving late in the day. We often send out messages when we are done cleaning before regular check in time so that guests don't have to wait till 4 p.m. We send detailed check in instructions before guests arrive. No location is better than being right at the water, especially when temperatures hover in the high 30s C - as they do right now! The A/C units in both bedrooms cool wonderfully and guarantee a good night's sleep even during the heat of Summer. The lake is incredibly warm right now and it's hard to keep the kids out of the water ! Canoeing is best done in the mornings and evenings and we urge our guests to bring water toys and paddle boards which can be left right at their beach area.

Beautiful cabin on a beautiful lake!
Publié le 25 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayMy husband, daughter, granddaughter and I stayed at cabin #1 from Sep 9 to 17, 2023. We had an absolutely lovely time. The cabin and contents were way more than we expected and we all felt very comfortable. The weather was perfect and the location was absolutely stunning. We swam every day and thanks to Eldon we had a fire every night. The firewood was virtually smoke free and it didn't snap. Claudia and Klaus were kind, friendly, helpful and generous hosts. Thank you so much for going above an beyond and making us feel so welcome. Honestly though the icing on the cake was Socks. He's the best vacation cat ever LOL

Ladies Get Away

The laughs were many :) It was so quiet by the lake, the fire at lake side was so picturesque, and even though the weather wasn't the best, it was still a gorgeous weekend. The lake is peaceful and the cabin is in a quiet location along the beach. Claudia and Klaus were great! And so were the kids

Amazing Getaway
Publié le 7 août 2020 sur HomeAwayA great spot to stay, we knew the beach would be rocky but a savvy member of our party dug out a fire pit area in the beach an d walkway to the water on the first day. It set us up for a a great week in the 39 degree heat.
The water is cold as it’s a glacier fed lake, but the last week of July it was great. A couple of hundred feet from shore, There’s remnants of an abandoned steam boat dock from the early 1900s that someone built a ladder in. It was 25 feet high and a lot of fun to jump off. A great stay, definitely bring water water shoes. This is a very rocky shore and shallow.
We will be back!

Lovely lakeside cabin

Claudia was super friendly and helpful when we couldn’t get the hot water to work and this was quickly resolved. Would definitely go back!

Secluded cabin with a beautiful view!
Publié le 16 juill. 2019 sur HomeAwayWe stayed at this cabin in July. The view was fantastic, and it was a very quiet, secluded location. We were enamoured with the osprey nest right in front of the property and watched them all day. The king size bed in the main bedroom was super comfy, and our kids had their own twin beds, which they appreciated. The kitchen was very clean and had everything we needed. We were disappointed that there wasn't a BBQ, as there was one in the pictures, but one beautiful summer evening with a fire on the beach made up for it! Thank you to the owner for being so easy to contact and communicate with!
