Weekend Getaway

The updated kitchen and bathroom were well appointed and the outdoor area with fire pit and covered porches oozed rustic coziness. We definitely would stay here again when available.

The Old Homestead
Publié le 2 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin reminded us of a former homestead we used to live in by the seashore. Overall, everything was great, and we had an excellent experience!
A few basic "tweaks" would have made perfection. A broom and dustpan are a necessity, (the floors get gritty after a few days), access to the laundry room would have been nice (there was not enough bath towels for three people for a week-long visit), and some battery-powered candles or a flashlight for when the electricity goes down (it went down twice briefly during our stay leaving us in total darkness). We are looking forward to another stay next year!!!

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. We will take your recommendations into consideration. We do provide a vacuum in closet for the guests to use if needed but will consider providing a broom and dustpan. The bedrooms are supplied with a battery operated lantern on each nightstand and flashlights are in the drawer in the kitchen. If you plan on visiting again, please feel free to contact us if fresh towels are needed during your stay.

Peaceful and Awesome
Publié le 3 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayI had a girls weekend with my 2 sister-in-laws and it was wonderful. We all loved the cabin. It was so clean and absolutely took my breath away. I could see the love put in to that cabin for people to enjoy. Sitting on the front porch was so relaxing and peaceful. We will be coming back to stay again. Thank you for sharing your cabin for others to enjoy its beauty and peacefulness.

Quiet magic
Publié le 27 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayI will join the chorus of folks naming this cabin their favorite Vrbo ever. There is something about this space that instantly lifts your spirits; it feels just like home as soon as you walk in the door. The cabin has incredible bones and is so beautifully maintained, but the furnishings and details lift it to another level. So much consideration and care was clearly put into making the space comfortable, cozy, and—above all—welcoming. After four nights I was genuinely sad to leave!
The location is convenient to so many beautiful trails as well as Ligonier, several Frank Lloyd Wright properties, and all the things that make central PA fun to explore, but you could honestly make a whole trip out of enjoying this home. We’re already looking at dates for another visit so we can take full advantage of the beautiful porches and see some of the trails in full leaf.

Sweet escape
