Waterfall Retreat River Front Room-Newly Remodeled
This River Front private room is located at the "Cascades Inn", Waterfall Retreat. Nature lovers will enjoy several beautiful hiking trails; one of which leads to the Tiger Falls Waterfall viewing platform. A second trail leads the way through the forest ending up at the rushing waters of Tiger Creek.
This newly remodeled riverfront room has a comfortable queen size bed. Each room has a dining table with two chairs, as well as a comfortable chair to relax in. And overhead ceiling fan and a reverse cycle AC unit will keep you comfortable year-round.
One Bathroom with cabinet, counter space, and a shower. There is a microwave and mini fridge to keep your drinks cool.
Our waterfall retreat offers convenient day and night access to the large recreation deck (propane gas fire pit, tables with umbrellas, chairs, rocking chairs, and even a cornhole game). From this deck, step onto a wooded trail winding down to the riverside and waterfall. Lay directly in the falls, relax in the water, or simply enjoy the sounds and scenery!
Ready to sit around a campfire telling stories while cooking everyone's favorite smores? We have you covered with a nice little riverside campfire area as well.
Guests enjoy free Wifi, Direct TV & on-site free parking!
RABUN COUNTY has a number of picturesque waterfalls many of which are easily reached by relatively short trails. The county also has numerous hiking trails most notably a portion of the Appalachian Trail.
LOCAL PARKS INCLUDE; Blue Ridge Mountain Moccasin Creek State Park, Chattahoochee National Forest, Timpson Cove Park at Lake Burton

The place was just like the pictures. It was super cozy and quiet. The only thing is vrbo doesn’t include the pet fee like other apps so you have to pay extra when you get there but that was the only negative thing. The owners were super friendly and the stay was perfect would definitely recommend!

Overall great stay
This was a quick overnight stay for us while we visited Helen. The room is nothing fancy, but it was just as advertised. The only issue we had is that you don't have an individual thermostat. There is one main control for the whole building, with an electric fireplace for supplemental heat. I am always cold, and would have preferred to control the temp of the room. We did visit during bitter cold, and the room was chilly. Not a deal breaker, but something I would have liked to have known in advance - I could have brought a small space heater. Alternatively, having some for guests as requested could be a nice touch.

Definitely rebooking on our next visit!
From check-in to check-out, our experience was great! This place was just what we were looking for! During check-in we were greeted with a friendly staff and a friendly little squirrel named Chippy. Our room was clean and very comfortable, and we really enjoyed sitting by the creek just outside our front door. It’s located right off the highway, but once you get there it feels like your tucked away in the mountains. We will definitely stay here again!!
