New apartment, center of Madrid. Ambassadors area
Bright and spacious apartment, located in the Center of Madrid, in a very beautiful and quiet street within a cosmopolitan environment; an area full of bars, restaurants, shops and contemporary galleries. Next to the Reina Sofia Museum 250m and very close to the Prado Museum and the Atocha station. Walking around the center of the capital. We try to make you feel at home and make the trip easier; We are good hosts of our city we know well. Welcome! Have fun!
No rest when somebody is always making noise until 2:00 am
The apartment itself is good for the most part but the bed was terribly hard and uncomfortable. The pillows provided for the bed were also hard and uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping on the couch after our first night. The apartment itself is nice and clean...a nice kitchen, a nice bathroom...but there was always somebody in the neighborhood that was up talking loudly, making noise until 2:00 am. It was never one single person responsible. It's as if people take turns being up till all hours every day for the week. Unfortunately, the apartment is not sound proof and we were totally unprepared for that...and yes I tried to use my white noise app to block it out. There was some guy dragging sheet metal and other stuff around at 1:00 a.m. one evening where there was work being done on a building. If it were not for putting up with noise every single night, I could give the apartment a higher rating.
We had a wonderful stay here! The apartment is in an excellent location-- walking distance to plaza mayor, palecia real, la latina, and all the museums (though it is faster to take the subway or bus to those, which is an easy ride as well). It was also easy to get to Moncloa station for a day trip to segovia.
While close to tourist attractions, the apartment is not in a touristy area. It is fairly quiet (it's a city, so there's always noise, but nothing excessive).
The amenities were very nice. We appreciated there being soap and shampoo, as that cut down on packing. We were glad to have access to a washer because that also helped us cut down on packing. We appreciated there being coffee, which we made some mornings.
Maria was communicative and kind. We arrived before we could check in and Maria let us come by and drop off our bags early.
Overall, an excellent location to stay for two adults.
Maria was an excellent host who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. She is, among other things, a talented painter and it was an honor to live with her amazing artwork during our stay. The apartment was spacious with a good cross breeze to make up for the lack of air conditioning. (The unit in the flat wasn't working). The location is good -- a short walk to many vibrant neighborhoods, particularly the Reina Sofia and Prado Museums and the theater district. The flat had the basics for a good stay though a bit challenged for plates, bowls and glasses in the kitchen and we had to look up instructions online for how to use the stove top. A comprehensive 24/7 grocery store is a 10-minute walk away but there are many small convenience stores that are closer. A remarkably quiet flat in an otherwise loud city. Good wifi and a television with international channels.
Spacious apartment in walking distance to Madrid center
The apartment was clean and organized. The cool breeze in the windows at night was a delight. We were easily within 20-30 minute walk to Prada, Opera, Palace and Gardens. Very reasonably priced. WiFi was strong!!! Would stay here again!!
Maria and her team, especially her son, were so very gracious and responsive. Between their care and and the comfortable surroundings, our stay felt like being with family. The neighborhood was quiet and had a lovely coffee shop just a block away. We highly recommend this apartment for a couple visiting Madrid.
We had a good stay at this apartment. It was very comfortable. It was convenient to walking downtown and to all the other places we wanted to visit. We didnât get to meet Maria but communicated with her several times. Erasto was very helpful with checking us in and out. It was nice to be able to wash our clothes. Since we're not big eaters we enjoyed eating breakfast in the apartment. If we're ever in Madrid again, we would stay here.
Gerne wieder. Muchas gracias, Maria!
Fantastic little apartment in a great location. It is within walking distance to many of museums and sites. We arrived very late because our plane was running late. The owner was very gracious about our late arrival. The communication was excellent and we appreciated all of the suggestions and information!

Neighborhood is working class, but generally safe. Some drug activity in the plazas.
