Completely renovated in 2022, our private 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom cabin is located in the lovely “Brainerd Lakes Area.” Situated on Red Sand Lake, this year-round sanctuary offers all the amenities you need for every season. Within 5 minutes, you’ll find conveniences like Cub Foods, Costco, local bars, Madden’s, and Target. Enjoy the relaxing sounds of “Up North,” swim at our beach, explore the Paul Bunyan Bike Trail, fish off the dock, or indulge in s’mores at our lakeside firepit. The cabin features a fully stocked kitchen, coffee nook, gas grill, and patio with furniture. With 3 smart TVs and a master bedroom boasting a king bed and attached bathroom, it’s perfect for large groups, golfing retreats, snowmobile trips, hunting parties, or families seeking a lake getaway.

NOTE* We just recently wrapped up some fantastic upgrades to the cabin last year. You are going to love it! We opened up the kitchen, put in new floors, added Nest thermostat and front deck Ring doorbell, added a kitchen island and coffee nook and took out a wall in the living room to open things up. The calendar is kept up to date. So if your dates are available please use the "book now" feature on VRBO. We will send you a confirmation note shortly after booking.

Family Lake House Vacation
We enjoyed our 7 day family vacation. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Our host was very nice and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed trying our luck fishing from the dock, using the kayaks, the wild flowers, watching the birds like loons, osprey, blue jays and orioles to name a few, toasting marshmallows around the fire pit, and playing board games with our grandchildren. I will recommend this beautiful place to friends and family, and would gladly come back to stay!

Great Stay!
Great cabin. Was very clean and spacious. We stayed in winter so didn't get to enjoy the lovely lake but still had a fantastic stay. The cabin accommodated 9 of us perfectly. Great lake house!
TJ's property on Red Sand Lake was a great location for our family of 10. The kids loved having a nice sandy beach to play in. The adults loved the kayaks, fire pit, and the proximity to town. When we arrived, we noticed some dirt on the kitchen floor, but TJ had someone from his cleaning crew come out to mop the floors right away. Otherwise the property was in great shape. TJ was a very responsive host and we look forward to staying there again next year!

Family Vacation
The house was great! It was loaded with games to play for all ages, had a table big enough for our party of 10 to sit at togetherfor meals. Outside there was a nice beach area for the kids to play in the sand with sand toys that were provided, along with a nice swing set for the kids to play on. We werent able to swim due to the weeds in the lake, but we did find a public beach about 12 minutes away that was really nice for the kids to swim at. We werent far from safari wilderness zoo, which was a hit with the whole family. TJ was great to work with, and answered all our questions.

Wonderful, Magical and Incredible Place! I Recommend!!
This VRBO is truly an incredible place to stay right in the heart of Brainerd/Baxter! Central location, close to everything! The owner, TJ, is very communicative, thoughtful and caring! My family absolutely loved our stay in this wonderful 4 bedroom 3 bath staycation right on the lake of Red Sand Lake. The public access is less than 100 yards away…beautiful beach…campfire pit… super clean rooms and incredible kitchen/full family dining table… even a huge selection of board games! I highly recommend this place for you and your family! We had a blast!!

Great spot for a girls weekend
Four girlfriends and I rented this property for girls weekend. The open concept layout of the kitchen and living space was perfect. The property was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The cabin is super close to Baxter so if you need anything Target is a quick trip into town. TJ was very responsive and a great host. Thank you!

Great summer vacation
We had a great time at our getaway and TJ was awesome! We had enough bedrooms and beds for our family; it was comfy and had everything we needed. We had bonfires, fished in the lake from our boat and off the dock. Went boating in Gull Lake that is very close, went go karting, and much more. Great location!

Our family had a great time at this cabin over 4th of July. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils to make meals. The cabin is on a small lake so weedy and mucky bottom. Was fine for our older kids to swim with rafts but is not a wading lake for toddlers.

No disappointment with this beautiful property
This lake home turned out to be perfect for us. The location was wonderful, close to the bigger lakes like Gull Lake. But it was a much quieter and less noisy lake, which we loved. Sitting outside, especially in the evening with the fire pit (which was great) was idyllic, hearing only the occasional sounds of nature and the crackling logs. Our daughter's husband and 1 year old took over the lower level, and it was perfect for them with sleeping space and an extra family room and tv. Perfect for going their own way when wanted and keeping entertained. Upstairs was perfect as well. Everything was clean and thoughtfully decorated and maintained. Much of the inside is brand new. The huge eating table (like an extra island) was fun to gather around. Everything we wanted in the kitchen was there, and then some! The owner/manager was easy to communicate with when we had a couple questions, and his responses were really fast. We would definitely go back to this home. Highly recommend.

Family Vacation on Red Sand Lake
This VRBO rental had everything we needed to enjoy our family gathering. It was so well laid out, furnished and decorated. There was plenty of room for everyone to have some privacy yet gather in the common spaces. Our group included a 9 month old, a 2 1/2 year old, young adults and grandparents and every one was comfortable. There is so much to do in the area and at the rental place. I would definitely stay again and I recommend it to any family who likes an area with plenty to do yet a place to return to and relax, back at the lake. The Smart TV’s were great to have on both levels of the home especially in the evenings. TJ, our host, was great to work with. Ann Reckow
