Beautiful location, excellent staff
Publié le 1 janv. 2022 sur HomeAwayWinter visit for hiking, had light snow. The location on the creek was gorgeous, quiet, secluded. Caretaker was friendly, helpful, informative, and takes good care of the place.

Beautiful and Remote
Publié le 2 août 2021 sur HomeAwayThe setting is gorgeous! The river was refreshing and we were away from other people. Cell service was very limited, but we found that nice as well. It was a surprise to us that you have to drive 2.5 miles down a dirt road past the caretakers house to get to the cabin, but it was worth it for the location.

Beautiful secluded cabin
Publié le 30 juill. 2021 sur HomeAwayMy friends and I had a great time in this cabin. It's very private, with waterfront views. The rainbow trout were biting but we only caught little guys. The river was great for a swim to cool down and was very pleasant to listen too from the deck. The cabin was comfortable and clean. Everything was in good condition. The only thing we missed was an outdoor fire pit. Would have been nice to sit around the fire and chat. But overall it was a great vacation and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get away from technology for a few days and get back to nature.

Clean, large, and simple - great for river

The building is older and not fancy. There was plenty of space for 6 adults. The kitchen is well supplied, The fireplace was fantastic. The deck and riverside location was unmatched!!!
Caretaker Tom was one of the best hosts I have worked with - this is a the perfect, no frills, unplug, be in nature get away.

Great Escape
Publié le 19 déc. 2020 sur HomeAwayHard to beat a rustic cabin on the Pere Marquette! It's a beautiful setting on a world class river. Best for the outdoor enthusiast since wifi and cell signal is limited. There was plenty of firewood provided by the groundskeeper and clean facilities. Cabins are isolated enough to enjoy the solitude.

Great getaway cabin for fishing and being off the grid
Publié le 19 août 2020 sur HomeAwayThis cabin is so great. It is tucked away in beautiful woods with Red Oak, Eastern White Pine and Birch trees. The check in was seamless and it was exactly as described. The Pere Marquette is gorgeous in this stretch and is perfect for fishing for Brown Trout. Stop at the Pere Marquette River Lodge in town prior to checking in to get the advise of the local fly fisherman. This is a great place to go with family to unplug from TV, phones and screens. I highly recommend it. If you are looking for a fancy cabin with great finishes, this isn't for you but if you are here for the right reasons, you will have a great time.
