Second Stay
Publié le 7 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was our 2nd time staying at this property, as we enjoyed it so much the first trip! We love that the cabin is quiet and private, while still being just a short drive to vineyards, lakes, restaurants and more. We did have to reset the router a few times as service would cut out, but that’s no biggie (and expected with the amount of wind when we visited). Such a wonderful place to relax, with all the comforts of home. We can’t wait to return for a 3rd time!

Hunting trip
Publié le 19 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe hunting in the area (state forests) wasn't great but the cabin was awesome, we did have an issue with the heat on the first day, but Gary had it fixed before days end, excellent service!

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope hunting is better next year.
Like you, many guests come to enjoy our local outdoor activities like fishing, boating, swimming, in the two local Finger Lakes and others hunting, hiking, birdwatching or biking in the local forest. Still others come for the wineries, breweries, skiing, golf, snowshoeing or sightseeing.
We have it all within minutes of our rental cabins.

Wild Life
Publié le 30 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe saw lots of wildlife at the property. It was amazing. We did see a bear which was a surprise. The location was fantastic. Conveniently located between two lakes. The house was exceptionally clean and had everything you needed. I would for sure recommend it.

We are so fortunate that our cabins are located in such a gorgeous and amazing area within and around the Finger Lakes. Late Summer Getaway

The cabin was clean, we had no water issues, and the informational book was such a nice surprise in how detailed the recommendations were. We will definitely be back!

Definitely recommend this place

It’s out away from town but yet not far to travel to get to places. It was so beautiful at night . The place was so beautiful and clean and so peaceful. Definitely a place to visit again.

Thanks for your nice review. We sure do have beautiful and peaceful evenings and so glad the kids enjoyed the outdoors and the catching of frogs.
We are off the beaten path but only 10-20 minutes away from several towns for food, supplies restaurants, whatever one needs on vacation.

Cute cabin
Publié le 11 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWas just as pictured. Very clean. The only downside for us was one of the roads in was a little slippery and scary, so we just avoided it for the rest of our stay. But that's not on the property owners. They were great.

Thanks for the review and you are right, as owners we cannot control the road conditions or hurricane Debbie whom dumped 7" of rain in our area.
Unfortunately, the beauty of being the 33rd highest peak in NY comes with a cost at times. Being in a rural setting, off the beaten path we are miles of gravel road away from the main road and being that high with that amount of rain, we can every decade or so have bad flooding.
Not sure if the road you mentioned was Burke Hill but in our welcome response after booking we notify all guests to not travel on that road even if their GPS says to do so. All one needs to do is pass Burke Hill and keep driving east. In about a mile your GPS should tell you to go right and up Italy Hill by the HVAC shop and you will be redirected to come in through Wells Road.
You did the right thing to contact us. We are so glad that you enjoyed the stay and hope to see you again.

Peaceful
Publié le 1 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Branchport. Definitely a place to get away from it all! The cabin was well stocked with all things needed for a comfortable stay. And the surrounding area is breathtaking! An all around wonderful stay. I didn’t want to leave.

We are so glad you loved the area and the cabin. We try to think of everything our guest might need for their stays and have it on hand. In fact, some of our Mennonite guests literally get dropped off and picked up a few days later and others just chill and unplug from urban life. We have a wonderful sky at night for star gazing and lots of wildlife, plus all the parks for water sports, waterfalls and hiking are just minutes away. The biking in the area is breathtaking as well.
